Why you are interested in this particular job/career? I am interested in being a Radiologist because it is in the medical field but I think it is more interesting because you get to look inside people's bodies using an x-ray machine. I would get to work behind the scenes kind of. Radiologists interpret scans done by the technologist and tell what is wrong with the person using CAT, MRI, CT, PET mammography, or ultrasound. I think this job is very important even though nobody hears about it. What do you know about this job/career? I don't know much about this job, but I do know that to get this job, you have to get an undergraduates degree and go to medical school. In this job, radiologists interpret the outcome of scans and tell the technicians
you first have to obtain an associate’s degree in radiological technology. To become a diagnostic medical
The career I would like to pursue would be Ultrasonography. Ultrasonography is a diagnostic medical procedure that uses high frequency sound waves to see images of a patients internal organs, tissues and blood flow. I first became interested in this field when I became pregnant with my first child. I thought that the ability to see images on the inside of a person's body was very intriguing. I've had many ultrasounds in my lifetime and my favorite were always the ones where I got to see the development of my baby. To be able to see a human being before it's even born is one of the most phenomenal things you could ever imagine. To be an sonographer would be a very rewarding career in so many ways. I would be able to help my patients who were hurt or injured, yet I would also be able to show expecting parents there

To be a radiology technician, there are many skills required to be in contact with a lot of people everyday. You must have good thinking skills, so you can solve complex problems and answer diagnostic questions, and make sure your thinking is within logic and you have good reasoning behind your choice. Although I was aware that some rad techs were practicing in some states without a license; I was still surprise by this report, which states that the Sunset Advisory Commission recommends eliminating the need licensure for nearly 20 medical occupations. Including the one we are majoring in. In the last couple months, we have learned a substantial amount of information on patient dose, dose limits, proper shielding and the roles we are going to play as technologist as well as our responsibilities and how the choices that we make can either have a positive or negative effects on our patients if we are not careful or if the radiation is mishandled. This being said what I found even more surprisingly is that the Commission is under the assumption that the “deregulation of radiologic technologist” would have minimal consequences on patient safety.
Highest Marks on Junior Writing Exam (2016) The Junior Writing Exam is an analytical exercise that gauges the ability of juniors to compellingly analyze a short story or poem. I received the highest possible score on this exam.
Radiology Technologist have been around for almost a century. “Radiology Technologist works in various places taking diagnostic imaging examinations for patients, which are x-rays, magnetic resonance imaging, and mammography.” (eHow) This job is one of the few in the world that can give the risk of cancer to the rad-techs. And is stilled one of the most needed in the medical field. Radiology Technologist needs to understand computers and what the x-rays show, and how to set up a patient for and x-ray to be taken. Radiology Technologist are one of the highest paid in the medical field. This is because the job has more risk than any other job in the medical field. The radiology technologists have used x-rays for what has almost been in use
The career path that I am choosing to follow is Diagnostic Medical Sonography. This career involves the use of frequency waves to view tissues; organs and blood flow inside of the body. My main career goals involve getting into the program, then getting a solid career in this profession. From there I plan on growing and getting even more education if it is offered, as well as branching out into other fields of Songraphy.
Upon completing the Interest Profiler, two careers that was suggested for me was Radiologic Technologist and Ultrasound Technologist/Technician. When I first started deciding what I wanted to go to college for these two careers was a choice I had in mind. I thought about going to school for both, but I job shadowed at New Hanover Medical Center and decided to do Radiography. The career I have planned to go to school for is Radiation Therapy. Radiation Therapy uses radiation to shrink tumors or kill cancer cells, the only difference in the two is the level of education. My results were very pleasing because it was within the same field I have in mind.
My selected career would be an OB/GYN or something in the medical field. I am very interested in that career because it's inspiring how someone can have such a huge impact on people's lives. I became interested in being in the medical field at a very young age, and it is a huge goal of mine to stay true to my dream. From being at doctors offices and hospitals monthly and sometimes weekly when I was in elementary school, I am very used to being around doctors and medicine.
The department that I am shadowing is the radiology, or imaging services, department where all x-rays, CT scans, MRI, and GI scans are taken and processed. There are many programs that one can take to become educated in this field, one of the bigger more heard of programs in Missouri is at St. Louis community college. This is a 73-75 credit hour program that takes three years to complete. The total cost for a Missouri resident is 7,616 dollars, about 101 dollars per credit hour, the cost goes up for students out of state and even higher for those out of country. The first two years are basic classes at the college while the third year is clinical practicing at a hospital to apply newly learns skill. For the admissions requirement: a student
Being a radiologist encounters a lot of stress. The Occupational Outlook Handbook states, “Although radiologists are often calm and relaxed the workload does require a great deal of attention and insert.” According to Webb and Naegar they state, radiologist technicians do serve a risk of being exposed to disease because they work with magnifying equipment that deals with radiation.
A radiology technologist job is to perform a diagnostic imaging examination while using a computed tomography (C.T.), magnetic resonance imaging (M.R.I) and or mammography. As
I want to be an Obstetrician Gynecologist, also known as a OBGYN. I have wanted to be a OBGYN for a few years. There are several reasons why I want to pursue this career including: I really love babies, also I love fact that I would be the person who makes sure that the mother and her baby were safe throughout the whole pregnancy.
Growing up, I have always wanted to be an oncologist; Oncology is the study of cancer. An oncologist diagnoses and treats patients who have cancer.
A career in healthcare is very rewarding, both emotionally and academically. Diagnostic radiography is a rare combination of healthcare, science and technology- three of the things that I am really passionate about. The reasons why I grew a keen interest into radiography is because of the patient care and welfare, the lifelong learning and the opportunity to work in a vast range of departments. I always knew I wanted to study the human anatomy. The use of technology to look inside the human body for anatomical complications and how it is affected by injuries really fascinates me.
