Behavioral Analysis : My Sleeping Habit

The behavior I chose to change for my behavioral analysis was my sleeping habit. For years, I have steadily gained less and less sleep each night. Not gaining enough sleep each night was not only effecting my health but also my academic life. I had many external and some internal factors that played into my lack of sleep. I saw this assignment as another factor into my drive to change how much sleep I was receiving. The reason I choose to change my sleeping habits correlates with how academic years have passed. Since my senior year of high school, I began to go to bed later and later each night. At first it was due to academic reasons such as having too much homework and scholarship applications, but then stress and anxiety about my academic and personal life began keep me up at night as well. When I began college, those same reasons followed me. Living on my own in a dorm hall, I experienced freedom I had never had before while living at home. Aside from having freedoms to choose my curfews or which events I participated in, I saw this change as a relief from high school years. My parents tried to enforce strict rules on my curfew and even stricter rules about my bedtimes and whether I could read before bed or have my phone in my rom. Once I got to college, I abused the right to make those decisions for myself. My freshmen year, I slept through classes because of not choosing when to sleep wisely and the accumulation of sleep deprivation. There were times in the fall
