I chose to research the health career of being an orthodontist. Health careers are some of the fastest-growing employment opportunities in the nation. I think that being an orthodontist would be a very fun job and at the same time be an educator on the importance of oral health. I love keeping my teeth healthy and clean and I want to give patients smiles they are proud to wear. I would love to help people maintain and improve their oral health, quality of life and appearance.

They also design treatment plans, fit and adjust dental devices, examine dental and medical histories of patients, diagnose jaw and teeth abnormalities, and also teach patients proper teeth cleaning methods. Orthodontist also tend to Promote oral hygiene, and sometimes perform office duties. Those inspired to become an orthodontist should be flexible and considerate because they work with all types of patients and different individuals. Along with AP science courses, which should be considered. Many years of college education is also required to become an orthodontist. Orthodontists require more education than general dentists. Students who want to become orthodontists are expected to have a Bachelor’s Degree in science or have at least 2 years of undergraduate education in science before they are qualified to enrol in one of the 56 dental schools, where they can specialize in orthodontics. Graduates of these schools are given a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree or Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree . Upon completion of the basic 4 year dental program, students must specialize in orthodontics through a post graduate residency program, which requires an additional 2 to 3 years of education and
