The role of education in society a. Primary b. Secondary c. Higher d. The structure of the educational system consists of pre school (3-6 years); six years of primary school and six years of secondary school. Belgium has two systems of education: the state system and the private (mostly Catholic) system. Education is free in both of these systems, and the curriculum is the same. There are four types of education: •General Secondary Education (ASO): general education; mostly theoretical that prepares students for higher education. •Art Secondary Education (KSO): Along with general subjects, students take visual arts, music, dance, drama, etc. A previous knowledge of the subject is required. •Professional Secondary Education (BSO): in this category students may choose from a selection of courses such a hairdressing, car mechanics, and sewing, among others. Students completing the 12th year level receive certificate of higher secondary education. This diploma is sufficient for higher specialized study: interpreting, architecture, technical engineering, pedagogy, etc. Only 16 17% of Belgian students graduate at this level. Education is considered very important in Belgium. Therefore standard are high and students take school very

From the coastline, water depth increases very gradually to about 40 m at 140 km from shore (western end of the profile). This segment of the vertical cross-section resembles the continental [(rise)(slope)(shelf)]
Quebec is a distinct nation within Canada and it is important for Quebec to remain this uniqueness by continuing to be a dominant francophone culture. With the decline of French population Quebec fears a loss for their language, culture and identity. Quebec has enforced a rule in terms of immigration to protect their culture. For example, Herouxville, Quebec has issued a code of standard to inform immigrants that they must leave their culture, ethnicity, and language behind and must adapt to Quebec culture. Quebec is struggling to maintain their provinces French language and culture. If Canada’s population continues to grow from immigration the government may enforce laws to lighten up the immigration law within Quebec allowing all minorities.

When traveling abroad to Belgium, it was my personal mission to visit some of the most historic cities in history. July 27, 1128, Bruege received its city charter and became known as the “Golden Inlet”. At that time, new walls and canals were built and in 1809 Bruege became the capital of County Flanders. Although connection to the sea was not direct, rather through a damme, many of its structure remains the same to this day. Bruege structures are breathtaking, traditionall sites are mesmorizing, and the food is delicious.
Many factors motivated countries to pursue imperialism and colonialism. The biggest objective was to gain wealth through resource-rich colonies, which was also King Leopold’s greatest motivation. Underlying much of Europe's excitement was the hope that Africa would be a source of raw materials to feed the Industrial Revolution. Expectations increased dramatically after prospectors discovered diamonds in South Africa in 1867 and gold some two decades later. According to the book, Europeans liked to think of themselves as also having higher motives: “The British, in particular, fervently believed in bringing civilization and Christianity to the natives” (Hochschild 37).
The Olmec are believed to be the first great Mesoamerican civilization. The city known as San Lorenzo existed around 1200BC and declined in 400 B.C. It is considered to be the first major city in ancient Mexico.
• There is also a problem of religion. Most Belgians are Catholic while William of Orange (Dutch king) and his people are Calvinists. Ie austere Protestant.
There are State secondaryâ€TMs that will specialise in one or a number of subjects. These schools are known as specialist secondaryâ€TMs. The Schools will specialise in any of the following: the arts, maths and computing, business and enterprise, music, engineering, science, humanities, sports, languages, and technology. More school are being by the encouraged to become Academies. And as such these are school will be independently managed schools, they would have been set up with the help of local sponsors from businesses in the area or possibly faith or voluntary groups in partnership with the local authority and the government. More parents are wanting special needs children to be taught in main stream school. There is still a need
Between 1790 and 1920 it was a tough time for the Indians. During that period Native Americans were forced to convert to the European-American Culture. Their whole life changed, the way of living, religion, and especially their children’s future. It was wrong of Americans to convert natives into a different society that they saw fit and not letting them express their own culture and treating them as an unworthy society.
France, which is the largest nation in Western Europe, is a presidential republic. France is a very important nation in Europe and it continues to be involved in contemporary policy issues. Helping the world as one of the great trading nations, France is a very important trading partner with the United States. Not only is France important to the United States, they are also important to countries all over the world. Their abundance of both mineral and agricultural resources make them a very important supplier of products all over the world. I chose to report on France because it is an interesting county and I wanted to learn more about it.
Each and every one of the world's many nations is unique in its own way. No two nations are the same in terms of the way they live. Whether it is driving on the right or left side of the road, pronouncing words a certain way or using hand gestures to communicate different meanings, each nation of the world has something that allows it to stand out. This uniqueness can come from certain religions, cultural practices, geography, history or from a multitude of other reasons. Despite this, a unique nation usually gains its originality and identity from its people. The way the people interact, live, work, play and have come to exist dictate how others perceive them as a culture. Canada is a provocative country with a divergent population.
The French are all about preserving their culture and being individualized. They often take great pride in the French products and the French style, and believe in keeping the French culture “pure” so they also limit the amount of foreign goods that are being imported. But during the World Wars the French began to allow foreigners to immigrate into France to take jobs due to an increase in job shortages. The immigration from the World Wars added to the diversity of the French culture. Ever since the 1850’s there has been a steady flow of immigration into France, and now nine percent of the French population is made up of immigrants (Gofen 62). The break down of the cultures in France is eighty-five percent of the French population is Roman
Russia has many cultural characteristics that have shaped the country we know today. A nation 's culture can define its actions and make them more predictable as a state on the international level. Understanding a nation’s culture gives great insight into the motives and reasoning behind their aggression or acts of force. Factors such as geography, weather, political landscape, military, and key infrastructure provide a clear understanding of Russian culture and how it has shaped the nation over the past century.
1. Culture is perceived as a way of thinking that influences the behaviors of a group of people.
