Many people have come to America for a better life and to get away from all the troubles of their homeland. These immigrants, like those throughout U.S. history, are generally hard workers and make important contributions to the economy through their productive labor and purchasing power. America is considered a melting pot of many diffrent ethinic group. Immigrants should be able to enter America with little if any resistance from any border patrol. Immigrants in america take the low paying, hard labor jobs that , unfortunately, some americans don't want.

America is the promise land. Where freedom, equality, and opportunity are more than just words, they’re a reality. Immigrants come to America to escape poverty and have a better life but we can’t see that. We as humans fear the unknown and we don’t much about immigrants. All we know is what we are told by the media. Today we hear and read that immigrants bring violence, take our jobs and simply destroy America but they do quite the opposite. Immigrants help America with the economy, technology and making it a more enriched place of people and culture. Growth in our country is necessary but there will be no growth without risk and acceptance. We need to accept those who have taken a risk in search of one thing, a better life, a life worth living.

Most of the immigrant families and their children come from Mexico, Central and South America, and even Asia. These people enter the United States via one of three modes of entry, legal immigration, illegal entry, and as refugees. Because of their legal status, many immigrants are illegible to receive any type of public services such as healthcare and public education. This is something that has been going on for years, and many Americans feel that it is a fair thing to do. By actually providing illegal immigrants to have access to public services the United States could benefit a lot from it, starting with a healthier and safer environment, also, having access to public education will help the economy in the long run, and lastly, after obtaining a college degree, it is extremely possible for them to get a good paying job.

The United States has people coming in and out of the country every day. Most of these people are welcomed at airports and borders, and most do not intend to stay in the United States. Some of these immigrants are tourists, business visitors, students, and foreign workers. Other arrivals are refugees because they are escaping to better their future or from their countries violence and some are unauthorized or illegal foreigners. Several immigrants enter legally as tourists and then stay in the United States, but most enter the country unlawfully by eluding border patrol agents or using false documents to circumvent border inspectors. In the past, the United States was formed from many immigrants whom the Founding Fathers were descendants from and made a powerful country. Immigration is positive for the United States because there are political, economic, and multicultural benefits; therefore, immigration policy should be reformed to allow and encourage immigration.

Although some argue otherwise, immigrants have a positive impact on our society. It is ironic how "within the country founded by Immigrants- Immigrant somehow become a bad word" (K'Naan). Although statistics prove that immigrants do bring overcrowding, drug trafficking, and diseases, they also impact positively on our economy and bring cultural knowledge. Being an immigrant in America is no easy task, they work long hours and most of the time have multiple jobs. Because the American dollar has greater value, immigrants will take any job that pays better than their home country. This often means they do the unwanted jobs of Americans. Immigrants fight hard to work their way to America with the American dream in mind, but once here that dream becomes very distant due to unexpected challenges they faced. In Valeria Luiselli book "Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in Forty Questions", she addresses her experience as an interpreter for immigration court of the state of New York, discussing the stories she has heard with the immigration process. Throughout the book, she explains her view of the lack of sympathy and protection the United States has for the young immigrants. Her purpose to show the difficulties the immigrants go through - their sacrifice, resilience, and strength as they fight to survive and obtain a better life in America can also be seen in K'naan video - "The Hamilton Mixtape: Immigrants (We Get The Job Done)", through his use of symbolism everywhere in the music.

The immigration debate in this country has grown stronger over the past few years. There are valid reasons for being in favor of allowing immigrants to enter this country. However, there are also legitimate concerns from those who oppose immigration to this country. I believe that by allowing immigrants to enter the country, it’s diversity increases and culture expands. It gives struggling people from all over the world an opportunity to a better life. This country was built by immigrants who sought opportunity, political & religious freedom, etc. Some of the most intelligent and ambitious individuals, who are unsatisfied with their own countries, bring their skills to America.

Ever since 2001, when the tragedy of September 11th happened, many citizens in the U.S. have a fear of allowing immigrants into the United States. Some citizens judge that immigration is an impending threat to national security, and that the U.S. should close the borders up for good. The U.S. should not consider that because everything negative that occurs in the U.S. is not due to immigrants. The government can stop illegal immigration right now, but would it not affect the U.S. more to do so? Restrictionists claim that large-scale immigration, legal and illegal has depressed wages, burdened government resources, and acted as a net drain on the economy. However, if immigration is stopped completely the reduction of workers would cause the inflation of money to decrease therefore, causing the economy to plunge downward. People come to the U.S. to escape persecution from their country, work and make a living. Third world immigration is not a threat to America’s way of life because immigrants work, immigrants participate, and immigration already responds reasonably well to America 's economy. Thus, if immigration is eliminated, the U.S. would have fewer workers and the economy would not flow smoothly because the immigrant workers make the jobs and economy better. America should allow immigrants because they are essential to the growth of the American economy.

Since the start of our country, America has been known as a land of immigrants, a melting pot of different cultures and ethnicities working towards the American motto of the land of the free, home of the brave. Since colonial times, immigrants have been an integral part of society, majorly contributing to U.S culture and economy, yet many Americans have always had very conflicting ideas on immigration. Many people look past the benefits immigrants bring to our economy and society and instead scapegoat them for many of the United States’ problems surrounding unemployment and budget. The positive effects of immigrants, both legal and undocumented, in our country far outweighs the negative effects because of their important impact on society and the economic help that American relies on.

Immigrants aren’t given the rights that they should be. Throughout history, immigrants haven’t been given the opportunities they deserve. When certain races came to America, they were always unwanted. New immigration process would benefit many people.

Being an immigrant in the United States is hard. People come here to work and bring their children, because there’s more opportunities here and the country is known for being a free land. But they are being sent back to a place where they don’t get the same things as they do here.Immigrants are also a big part of the U.S because most are in the fields,construction,landscaping, and all these jobs that are hard. Immigrants shouldn’t be deported because they are here to work hard, to help out their families and also live the American dream like any other.

Immigration has been a part of the United States history since its birth. America is a country that was found and built by immigrants. In the beginning everybody was an immigrant. There were people from all over the globe coming to America with the hope for a better life—which still holds true today. There are countless reasons that people are wanting to come to America today. Some immigrants are fleeing radical governments, while others are escaping countries that are torn with civil war. On the down side, America is not a newly discovered land with wide open land for the taking anymore. She simply cannot accommodate every individual who wishes to live here. Regulating who, when, and the quantity of those who are coming to America is extremely important. Illegal immigration has been a problem in America for decades, and there have been numerous attempts in controlling it.

Illegal immigrants should be allowed in the United States because it would stop the separation of illegal families. According to the Applied Research Center report “there are at least 5,100 children in foster care due to a parent being deported or detained. It estimates that another 15,000 children will enter the foster care system within the next five years. The likelihood of these children being reunified with family is slim” (Immigration, Deportation, and Family Separation ). Kids are being left behind or left in foster homes just because their parents got deported. The separation of families has to stop to keep the families together so the kids won't be staying in the U.S alone with no one to take care of them except for total strangers

In the year of 2000, my family and I immigrated to the United States. We came for a better life, employment, and to get an education. We didn’t know how life would be in the U.S till we came and experienced it. I don’t remember anything since I was only three years old. As growing up, I’ve seen my mom suffer alone. She went through the hard times because it is not easy once you migrate to another country. After so many difficulties and hard work, the outcome has paid off. Life may not be perfect, but I am thankful for having an education right now. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to pursue their dreams and to accomplish important goals. Just as my family got the chance to live in a country filled with a land of opportunities; immigrants should be allowed into the United States. Looking at the numerous advantages of opportunities in this country, why should there be restrictions? As it is said that “America is a melting pot”, since different races come together to create one union. Immigration to the U.S. should be allowed because immigrants bring needed diversity, important job skills, unusual perspectives, and a richness of customs to the American society.

Immigrant eligibility to receive benefits varies on the type of status they hold, which affects what types of benefits they can receive (Ku and Bruen 2013, pg.1). The first figure shows that native-born and naturalized citizens use Medicaid for a combined percentage of 54.6 percentage while non-citizens use Medicaid at 19.7% (Ku and Bruen 2013, pg.2). Immigrants are people who go through governmental paperwork to travel to a different country and live there as a new citizen.
