The four general strategies that would be used to convince the client firm that the benefits of implementing a performance management system will far outweigh the costs and difficulties associated with the transition from a performance appraisal to a performance management system are ensuring employee roles are tied to firm goals, inspiring higher performance in employees, improving employee morale, and streamlining integration between human resources and development activities. According to Kalman (2016), employees who are high performers, as well as Millennials, are very motivated by systems based on achievement (p. 24). It is important for the client firm to consider the benefits of implementing a performance management system.
