Abstract The purpose of this paper is to provide information about the advantages and disadvantages of the Nutrisystem diet plan, as well as, provide information about the nutrition of the diet, the meal plans, selection plans, and general information about the diet. Examine the different aspects of the diet plan and show that Nutrisystem can be a healthy diet to lose weight. Nutrisystem Most people are aware of Nutrisystem from seeing it advertised on television commercials and in magazines. This diet advertises that the dieter can eat whatever they want and not only lose weight but be able to keep it off by eating a selection of their healthy, filling, and delicious food. How do we know these claims are true simply from seeing an ad? This is the question I intend to answer by evaluating the entire Nutrisystem program and all they have to offer. The Plans Nutrisystem comes with 4 meal plans, Men’s, Women’s, Diabetic, and Vegetarian. Each of these plans also has 3 selection plans to choose from, Basic, Choice, and Select which determine what food selections you have privilege to and also determine the cost you will pay. Those will be discussed in detail in a later section. Nutrisystem offers 163 different food choices including protein shakes. A breakdown of the fiber, protein, and sodium shows an average of 3.75g of fiber, 10g of protein, and 332.5mg of sodium for a Nutrisystem breakfast, lunch, and dinner combined.
