The Bengal Tigers are one of the largest cats in the world. These cats are located mainly in the Middle East and parts of Asia. On average, Bengal Tigers are about seven to nine feet in length and can weigh anywhere from 240 to 500 pounds (Sartore). The population has been hurt drastically and are now on the endangered list. In order for one to learn about Bengal Tigers, one needs to know their habitat, behavior, how the tigers life cycle is different in captivity than in the wild, and why they are endangered. Bengal Tigers habitats affect how they survive. These cats live primarily in India, but also in a few parts of Asia like Nepal and China (“Bengal Tiger”). Tigers like to have the open space to move around and not so crowded with others. The habitats are normally rainforests or very dense grasslands (“Bengal Tiger Profile”). These biomes are good for tigers because it allows them to hunt prey, but it also allows them to camouflage themselves by hiding in the grass from their predators. The open areas benefit tigers very well and is necessary for them to survive. While the tigers habitat affects their survival, tigers also have certain behaviors that describes their early life. Female Bengal Tigers’ litters will range anywhere from two to six cubs. The cubs are not mature enough to hunt prey until they are 18 months old. This proves that the cubs need to develop their brains and abilities; therefore, they will learn and develop the skills from their

To understand an animal more, you must first understand the history behind it. The evolution of Siberian tigers started when a fossil of Siberian tigers were found in China. It was two million years old. Even though the animals have different features that make them appear different, they are very much alike internally, including that in the distant past they had a common ancestor. In the novel “The White Tiger”, the writer utilizes the “Murder Weekly” magazine to draw the line between perception and reality in this Indian society. The narrator depicts that all “drivers and cooks in Delhi” read this magazine and as much as they would love to, they are unable to “slit their masters’ necks.” Aravind Adiga utilizes this magazine as a source of outlet to showcase the harsh reality these workers live in. They are used and abused to the point that rather than having perceived dreams of taking the weekend off, they mesmorate over the thought of killing their masters to be free; a harsh perception contrasted to a harsh reality. Furthermore, this dreamland perception is emphasised when it is expressed that this weekly magazine usually ends with the murderer hanging himself.
