At Brewton-Parker College, the campuses community is quite small. I cannot decide if it is a good thing that everyone knows each other. Because the school’s population is not quite as high as a big university, everyone knows everyone’s business. No matter what someone does, good or bad, it gets out, but for me the size in beneficial. The less people there are, the less chance I have of getting distracted. I love how small the classes are, too, because my teachers actually knows who I am. Also, when I need help with what we’re learning or I just have a simple question, I can easily ask my teacher, and he or she can help me better understand what is going on. The teachers here, at Brewton-Parker College, are kind and beyond willing to help me, no matter how long it takes; help is always there when I need it. For instance, the library has become my best friend. I like how I can go and have my own table to get a good amount of work done, and the books are such a useful resource for

I have known Mr. Jerry Watson since 2000. At that time, he was reacquainting himself with civilian life after retiring from the twenty-plus years of service to our country as an Army Pilot. Mr. Watson has been employed by the Alaska Department of Corrections for over fifteen years and has become the invaluable professional spokesman of the justice system during this time. Moreover, Mr. Watson has maintained a substantial achievement performance. This is apparent, he has successfully occupied every available position within his facility. From Floor Officer to Assistant Superintendent, has progression was not stopped by his ability, but, because he could not fill an occupied position. From his professional presentations given at tours of the facility to his on the record testimonials given as an expert witness, he is skilled in engaging all audiences. I’m as confident in his abilities. Moreover, the State of Alaska, Department of Corrections has placed in a position that requires knowledge, skills, ability, and patients. All of which could benefit you.
Sherman’s March was in 1864 and lasted from November 15 until December 21. General William T. Sherman led around 60,000 soldiers on a march from Atlanta to Savannah, Georgia which lasted for 285 miles. The purpose was to frighten Georgia’s civilian population in abandoning the Confederate cause. It demonstrates the problems that were left after the end of the Civil War such as the role of the federal government in protecting its citizen’s rights. Economic and racial justice is still unsolved after the war, with land ownership still not being available to everybody
Taking a bus to Little Rock gives you the freedom to absorb the scenic views and enjoy the company of the person you are with. In essence, it lets you spend quality time with your loved ones without the distraction of having to keep your attention on the other drivers on the road. GOGO Charters, a charter bus company, exists so that they can take people to cities across the country. The advantage of hiring a bus company is how they will do the legwork for you. Because many of the bus drivers have been traveling for long periods, they know how to point out the best destinations in the city.
A father’s role in Native American society, plays a large role in their son’s identity. A father is viewed by their child as the “hero” or a great role model. But also sometimes a father isn’t always there for a child or gives them reason to view in a hateful way. In Sherman Alexie’s works, we see different father roles, both good and bad, and the effect it eventually has on their son’s.

Kent Smith is an artist, illustrator, professor, and community leader. He is not associated w¬¬ith one particular Lawrence organization, but collaborates freely on community projects. One example is when he felt a need to reconnect with members of the Lawrence community. He got in touch with his long time friend Matt Lord, and created an exhibition at the Percolator. The show was called “SNIPE HUNT,” and it exhibited illustrations and stories about mythological sightings. Kent said his goal was to “create an emissive environment” for the Lawrence community members. He made workshops during the exhibition where people could make paper toys, monoprints, and collages that followed the theme of the show. The exhibition was such a success that Kent and Matt were asked to become board members of the Percolator. Later, he and Matt also created a figure drawing
Thomas Hart Benton is known as one of the great American painters. He used art to portray to history and current events of America. He once said "history was not a scholarly study for me but a drama 1." Growing up in Jefferson City, the capital of Missouri, my school went on yearly trips to the Capitol. On all of the trips I viewed Thomas Hart Benton's "A Social History of the State of Missouri." Benton's mural told the history of my state through bright colors and vivid portraits. The mural ignited a love of art and a love of Thomas Hart Benton. When I heard about "American Epics: Thomas Hart Benton and Hollywood" at Nelson Atkins Museum of Art showcasing almost one hundred of Benton's works I knew I had to see them
