Biblical Worldview Essay
As an Accountant, I will not balance the books to display more revenue that the company does not possess, nor will I spend money from company funds for my personal needs and or pleasures because these are not the attributes of the image of God. “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27). I need to represent His image in all that I do. “Mankind is created in order to represent God here on earth” (Etzel & Guterrez). This is why my heart, mind, body and soul will stay steadfast on the Lord. “Christians believe that God create the human race and therefore, individuals cannot live independent of God” (Towns).

It comes down to this
In balancing the books to show higher revenue I will be perhaps doing what is deemed for the greater good of the company however, this is not in the greater good for the Image of God. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). I cannot be fearful of losing a job by doing the right thing not only in the eyes of the Lord but also by the law of the land. But judgment will return to righteousness, And all the upright in heart will follow it” (Psalms 94:15). I would not steal because the Holy Spirit would not allow me to do due to God’s regenerating my soul. “We become more and more like Jesus as we surrender our lives to Him” (Etzel & Guterrez).
