A person could be neurotic and conscientious which may have negative health effects but may motivate an individual toward success in school and work situations.
OPENNESS is associated with tolerance of ambiguity (which means when something is not clear), a capacity to absorb information, being very focused and the ability to be aware of more feelings, thoughts and impulses simultaneously. The result is deeper more intense experiences. Open individuals are motivated to seek out the unfamiliar and to look for complexity.
The bottom line is that the Big Five are an integral part of the study of personality psychology, and it is fascinating to learn about what makes people tick.
BIG FIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Psychologists have identified literally thousands of personality traits and dimensions that differentiate one person from another. But in recent years, researchers have identified five fundamental traits that are very relevant to the organizations. These traits are now commonly called as “THE BIG FIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS”.
N = Need for stability, negative emotionality, neuroticism
E = Extraversion, positive emotionality, sociability
O = Originality, openness, imagination
A = Agreeableness, accommodation, adaptability
C = Consolidation, conscientiousness, will to achieve, goal-oriented

I have read about the big five personality test, designed to get an idea about the personality with some multiple choice questions. I run the test and found that traits described in the results are somewhat matching with my personality. I am not 100 % agree with some of the test results. I will discuss each traits below.
The big five factors that define an individual’s personality are: emotional stability, agreeableness, extroversion, conscientiousness and openness. Let’s include all of these when we talk about the big five personality factors of John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods.
Personality theories, or models, are metaphors for describing something which is intrinsically indescribable, the human personality. I found the test results of the Big Five personality assessment to be an interesting and very accurate description of myself. After completing this assessment, I was able to analyze my personality in depth. I found this information to be helpful knowledge and provide insight about myself, as well as being crucial in examining my personality traits. The big five is also referred to the OCEAN model of personality, and stands for the main traits used to describe personalities. This acronym stands for openness to experience/intellect, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. After taking the test I was then given percentile scores that allowed me to compare myself with other people who have taken the test online as well, therefore making it a more meaningful comparison.

Chapter five “Personality and Values” In this chapter I learned about the Big Five personality traits; extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience.
Openness is the ability to see different perspectives and see where they’re coming from. The ability to hold two conflicting thoughts in the one’s head required a degree of openness and is not as easy as it seems. Everyone has their own set of morals based of their own life experiences.

The Big Five Test is a compilation of 70 questioned geared towards “measuring how accurate or inaccurate the statements pertain to you.”(Wentz) This test is considered to be an objective test measuring certain traits of the individual taking it rather than states.
