Although this is the first book he has written, he has been writing and drawing practically since he could talk. He’s always had a pencil and notebook in hand for as long as he can remember. He has made the high honor roll both semesters, which he is very proud of. His favorite sports are basketball, soccer, and football. While Billy performs well in all of the sports he participates in, he is most proud of his exceptional goalkeeping skills in soccer. He plans to continue to take part in meaningful clubs and groups and hopes to always excel in school right through college. Billy is currently playing on a premier soccer team, and he has many upcoming trips planned in the future for various soccer tournaments. He is looking forward to continued success in his sports. Eventually, he’d love to play one of his sports at Syracuse University and, then, ideally, in the pros. However, if playing in the pros doesn’t work out, Billy could always carry his love of writing and drawing further and become a more accomplished author and
Across the world there are a surplus of beliefs and systems regarding Gods and religions. There are hundreds and thousands of theologians that claim they have the “truth” about the world and human creation. Although some of these claims may have truth wrapped in them, often times they are covered with fabrication, simply desiring to please the listener and offer the most beneficial reasoning for accepting it. I understand why someone with no religious upbringing or background would not quite know where to start when taking a look at Christianity; however, I’m here to help you understand the amazing aspects of Christianity. These aspects have caused over two billion people around the world to dedicate their lives and ways to follow the center of the religion- God.

If it is difficulty that shows what men are, there should be no doubt about what kind of man Carl Brashear is. The Navy's first African-American Master Diver, Brashear faced difficulties that would have defeated most people. His spirit and determination resulted not only in his overcoming great odds to become a U.S. Navy diver, but also in his surviving the loss of a leg in an accident on the USS Hoist in 1966 - and more amazingly - in his attaining the rank of Master Diver.

Furthermore, the illustrations paint a beautiful picture that I like to think is an insight into a child’s mind, which I is a key element in this book and what makes it so great. Since the book is narrated by a child the intentional simplicity of the words and the controlled chaos that is the illustrations breathes unadulterated life into a rather normal children’s book.
Welcome to an era filled with sock-hops, diners, and poodle skirts. But that's not all! Arguably the most important aspect of the 1950's was that it was also a time filled with the newly evolved genre of "rock 'n' roll", a type of music that resulted from a combination of rhythm and blues, gospel music, country, and jazz. Rock and roll completely revolutionized musical tastes and essentially changed the world, especially among the youth. Suddenly all across the nation, teenagers were able to listen to this new music and rebel from their parents in ways that they never could before.
This charming story reverses the typical roles within a children’s book. With underlying issues of stereotypes, independence and empowerment, it fills children with imagination and teaches them the importance of being strong, smart, and the realization that beauty comes from within.

The story the scholarship jacket by Marta Salinas made me think of last year when i was talked into playing high school soccer again by a club coach. I put in a lot a lot of hard work to be on the team again. I was a varsity player as a freshman but the coach and i did not get along. I quit the day before the last game and districts because he constantly used foul language towards any players his daughter disliked and constantly was disrespectful. After three years he was still mad that i quit. As i worked hard to get my math class finished to play he was working on stopping me. I completed a whole semester of geometry in a week, skipped a lot of lunches, stayed after school and worked at home to finish. I was trying to play the junior varsity
Distinguished playwright and writer, Friedrich Durrenmatt, in his play, The Visit, provides criticism of multiple topics on society after World War II that are deeply rooted in the story and that play a vital role in the point he was trying to get across to his audience. Durrenmatt’s purpose is to provide certain social commentaries on the society that he lived in, specifically events that had taken place during his time. Durrenmatt creates a tragic tone in order to convey to his audience that the society the lived in had many flaws in the way they were living. One of the characteristics of society during the Second World War that drew Durrenmatt’s criticism was the claim by Switzerland that they were completely neutral, in the sense that they were completely uninvolved in the war. This controversial topic plays a major role in the plot of the play, especially the way Durrenmatt metaphorically portrays the townspeople of Gullen.
1876, he was famed for his "Killing of Yellow Hand". Also during this time, in
