My choice of a public figure whom I find interesting and influential is Mister Rogers who’s formal name is Fred McFeely Rogers. On the surface to some, Fred Rogers may seem like a simplistic man to write about, for his main career in life was a well-known children’s television show personality. He did indeed live a life of simplicity and structure as commonly perceived yet, there was a depth to him that touched not only kids but adults as well. I learned he had a specific motivation behind his television show persona known as Mister Rogers and it was not merely to entertain young children with fantasies. This paper will provide a brief bio of Fred Rogers, 3 analyses of his personality,
In my opinion parents should be able to have control of their kid but not complete control over their kid. The reason is, kids need to have some freedoms but not like they’re allowed to walk out at night no. The freedom some kids should have is them being allowed to go out with their friends and obviously they get a curfew on when they should be back. And if a parent has complete control over a kid's life then your kid is most likely gonna hate you or their life is going to be boring and bland.

Many studies point out that the idyllic American childhood is a thing of the past. The kind of carefree childhood in which kids mostly spend their free hours playing basketball in the street, fishing down at the creek, and spending hours lying in the field, sucking on a ragweed stem and thinking about adventures is long lost. Childhood used to involve lots of dreams and skinned knees, not nervous breakdowns. But since then something has changed in America.
During post-war Europe, in Britain one of the first youth subculture the “Teddy Boys” and the forgotten “Teddy Girls” emerged around the 1950s. This subculture soon spread throughout the United Kingdom and became largely associated with the American Rock n’ Roll genre of music. As the subculture began to spread, they began to be seen as a rebellious British youth subculture. By then the Teddy Girls by were overshadowed by the Teddy Boys since there were more of the boys than the girls. Not only that, they were deemed boring by the media because their role at the time were still focused at home.
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, by John Boyne is a good choice for teachers to have their students read and study about the Holocaust. The Holocaust is a very important topic for 8th graders to read about and seems like an appropriate age to start learning about it. Students everywhere in middle school read literature books about past events, and the Holocaust is a very important topic to become informed about. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a good book to read to study the holocaust becauses it has a lot of suspense which keeps the reader thrilled to read more and has a very good description on what happened to the Jewish people in that period of time.
