way up to his cell. Bob Olinger died with 36 buckshot in his belly. Billy mounted his horse, rode out of town without a single confrontation, and the Kid was free once agian. Although the Kid was back on his own, he was still a wanted man. Pat Garrett, a local lawmen, tracked down the Kid and found him visiting his sweetheart in Fort Sumner. Garrett waited in a bedroom of Pete Maxwell, a long time friend of Billy’s. The Kid opened the door with a butcher’s knife in hand looking for a side of beef when Garrett put an end to the most notorious outlaw in the west with a single shot to the heart. On July 14, 1881, Billy the Kid became a part of history. While Billy the Kid killed for revenge, this next outlaw killed out of greed and want.

Little Walter is one of the most interesting and intriguing musician of all time. He isn’t someone that people may have necessarily heard about or seen on the news, but he is just as important to music as any other famous musician. Blues and Jazz are what come to mind when at the sound of his name. One writer, Paul Oliver, states “Many younger urban blues musicians were influenced by his playing, and he had acquired a strong following in Europe long before he toured there in the 1960s.” Walter was widely appreciated throughout the world even before he truly became famous, and still continues to be remembered today.
Corral gunfight, was when Billy was caught riding Wyatt’s stolen horse. Ike Clanton, born in 1847, was also involved in the O.K. Corral shootout. Ike’s involvement in the shootout started when “Doc” Holliday offered him $6000 in reward money to help find, or kill, the men involved in the “stage-coach murders”, and he declined. Then when Doc was accused of murder in Tombstone, Ike openly expressed his thoughts when Doc was found innocent. All these events led up to the famous gunfight. The date was October 26, 1881, 2:30 p.m., and the setting was a vacant lot officially known as lot number two, block 17, in Tombstone, Arizona (internet, #5). Nineteen year old Billy Clanton, thirty-four year old Ike Clanton, and Tom and Frank McLaury face Wyatt, Virgil, and Morgan Earp, along with Doc Holliday. The O.K. Corral Gunfight last 30 seconds, Frank McLaury was dead from a bullet wound to the stomach fired from Wyatt’s gun, Tom McLaury was dead from Doc Holliday’s shotgun, and Billy Clanton was dying from chest wounds (internet, #6). Ike Clanton escaped by running into Fly’s Photo Studio nearby. Billy was rushed into a nearby house screaming in pain. Dr. N. S. Gibberson shot Billy full of morphine to ease the pain. As crowds gathered around Billy’s bed, his last words were documented, “Drive the crowd away”(internet, #4). Jonas V. Brighton murdered Ike Clanton six years later on June 1, 1887 near Springerville,
Billy Budd is responsible for his own death. There are times when taking someone’s life is necessary such as a time of war, but not in a heating argument. Captain Vere, said it best that the crime is what they were worried about, not the case between right and wrong. The crime was murder. Billy was a hard worker who would do his best to help anyone out. However, Billy was not judged on the type of man he was he was judged by the action that had taken place.
Old School is about when Greg’s mom wants to go old school so she makes a petition that everyone signs and it says go electronics free. Greg is not cut out for an old fashioned world. Can Greg survive a couple of weeks without a phone, a TV, and video games?
Did Charlie really win by his own fate or did Willy Wonka Play an even more prominent role than many readers thoughts? To answer this question requires examining of the text, where some suspicions arise regarding Wonka. Wonka possesses almost God-like power and authority over his world that he uses to manipulate events so that Charlie would inherit his factory by manipulating certain events, influencing the five ticket holders beforehand.
Billy had gotten his revenge, but he wanted to get his point across. That is why he and Stu terrorized the town on the one-year anniversary. Ghostface, Billy in this case, definitely has the villainous characteristic of being wounded and wanting revenge for
The late forties and early fifties was a time of great austerity in Britain. After the Second World War, the tailors of Savile Row began experimenting to renew the styles of the Dandies. In 1950, Britain experienced a consumer boom, and the young generation emerged as a distinctive social group, known as the Teddy Boys and Girls. The Teddy Boys have now been in existence as a coherent subculture for sixty years, and there is a growing interest in alternative lifestyles among today’s younger generation who are looking for an alternative to an endlessly repeating, worldwide monoculture.
During one of his raids a girl recognized him and he ended up injuring her with an axe. While in court he had heard his name, Donald, for the first time in his life. That shows how much he was neglected in his early life. Since he had committed a crime he was sent to a reform school for boys. His life here was not so different from before. He was beat and raped by the other boys and bullied as well. Eventually he escaped and married a very young girl and thought he could do more for his future. He returned to reform school voluntarily to finish his time. Once he got out he began to work on a tobacco farm. He had gotten involved in insurance fraud, as well as involvement in the burning of other farms. When questioned about the subject he nearly
The shows are quite different just because they are based around different age groups, so of course Blues Clues will be for more of a younger age group since it allows the kids to participate in the show. While Boy Meets World has too many worldly things for younger kids, but is a decent amount for kids the same age as Cory and Shawn. Like I said earlier, I still enjoy watching Scooby-Doo, and I don’t think it will ever get old.
Being born in 1996, I can safely say that I consider myself a "90's kid", yes a little late in the game, but better late than never at least. I can full heartedly say that the 90's and 2000's had the best television shows to this day, although I'm sure some would argue differently. TV shows were a major role in my childhood, social media had not yet hit its peak, and video games were never really my thing. Well, I just never got the hang of them and always lost. I can vividly remember waking up on the weekends, my grandma making her famous eggs, sausage, and toast. This was a Sunday morning tradition. We always had the same breakfast on Sunday’s, but that’s what I loved and that’s what I wanted. Somethings just only get better with time. I
During post-war Europe, in Britain one of the first youth subculture the “Teddy Boys” and the forgotten “Teddy Girls” emerged around the 1950s. This subculture soon spread throughout the United Kingdom and became largely associated with the American Rock n’ Roll genre of music. As the subculture began to spread, they began to be seen as a rebellious British youth subculture. By then the Teddy Girls by were overshadowed by the Teddy Boys since there were more of the boys than the girls. Not only that, they were deemed boring by the media because their role at the time were still focused at home.
“If we bear all this suffering and if there are still Jews left, when it is over, then Jews, instead of being doomed, will be held up as an example” (Anne Frank). Anne Frank was trying to say was that even though all the Jews went through that suffering and lived, should be remembered forever. In the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Bruno was always confident at what he was doing. He never understood why all the soldiers were so cruel towards the people on the other side of the fence. Even though later on Bruno finds out about all the people on the other side of the fence are all Jews, that doesn’t stop him from being best friends with one of them. Having hope can carry a person through the worst of circumstances.
Living sheltered from what is really going on and having to find out yourself in a brutal way, this is the reality of Bruno, the main character from The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. The book “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” by John Boyne, describes the discovery of the concentration camp Auschwitz through 9-year-old Bruno’s eyes. I will talk about the historical background of the story, the storyline and the reasoning for books outline.
