I have one major goal in life which is to assist in saving our environment and the organisms that complete the earth. Marine life is my passion and I have two main interests in Marine Science. My first interest is marine life behavior and how marine organisms react within their altering environment. With my degree I want to find a way to help these marvelous creatures adapt to these environmental and ecosystem changes effortless and decrease the number of organisms that are endangered. We have to change the way we think and behave as humans to make a true effect on decreasing the extinctions that transpires. My second interest in Marine Science is about conservation. Conservation can help solve several of our environment and organism disturbances.
I knew that they worked with animals and that they studied the oceanic environment. They work on in the ocean and on land, depending on the task they work in groups or alone. Also, with marine biology I feel like one of my strengths is that I love being around the ocean and I love working with people.
Some reasons why I would like to study this area of science is because there is only a slim percent of the ocean that has been explored and if you find a new fish in the ocean you would get to name it also you would be the first one to see it.Also you get to get in a submarine and you would get to wear scuba gear. This is my report about my famous scientist Sylvia Earle that did include their Early life, what they are best known for,how they made the world a better place, and why I would like to this job one
Marine Biology is a fascinating field to learn about, but to make a career in it you should consider three things: the job itself, requirements, and why you may be interested in this career. Many of these Questions can be answered by simply studying the career further and talking to a person who has a Marine biology vocation. But as we dive into the field and its unique qualities we must be aware to look at all the facts.
A Marine Biologist Will be a Right Careen Scientist for You ! Marine biologist are scientist that study water bodies, performing a number of duties that vary by the specific job. They may research experiment or create plans for action to improve and sustain aquatic life, healthy, and productive. Marine biologist spend many hours in oceans, lakes and rivers studying plants and animals, in addition to the time spent in the classroom learning about the sciences applicable to marine biology. Marine scientist study and analyze ocean ecology and aquatic life.
In addition to the aquatic life, marine biologists may also study their environments or ecosystems (“Marine Biology”). Other names for marine biologists include wildlife biologist, fisheries biologist, zoologist, aquatic biologist, wildlife manager, environmental specialist, and conservation resources management biologist (“Zoologists”). Marine biology is important because they provide insight about nature and the ecosystems they study. Even though oceans cover seventy-one percent of the world, only an estimated five percent have been explored (“What is Marine Biology”). Since I do not know anybody in the field of marine biology, I first learned about this career at a young age when we first began to look at job fields in school . Ever since I heard about it, it’s been on my mind as a future career
My passion for the ocean emerged at an early age. From my first encounter, the beauty and mystery of the ocean has captivated me. I was able to observe dolphins, sharks, crabs, and corals, and was staggered by the abundance of vibrant life that presides within the ocean. At this time, I didn’t realize that the ocean was facing many problems. When I was younger I didn’t pay much attention to the papers, but one day a photo caught my eye - sea creatures, slick with oil, dejectedly moving through the polluted ocean.
If someone gave me thousands of dollars to travel somewhere on earth and study something, I would snorkel for Queenland’s Marine Mammals in Australia. As developmental areas grow around the coast, the marine ecosystem faces hazardous threats from pollution and other harmful humanizing industries. I would be with scientists to figure out how these toxins from manufacturers are affecting the marine life by getting a first hand look on things. I would go snorkeling, boating, and wading in the bay waters, gathering eco-friendly data on the sand, seagrass, small fish and marine animals living there. After doing so, I would be able to determine how humans are transforming the ecosystem. Seagrass, small fish and marine animals are key food sources
The dream of having majored in marine biology is one thing, but to get to have a marine biology degree is a fifth grader’s dream come true. The environment is heading in a rough direction. For example, ocean acidification is already a problem. The decrease in pH of our ocean acidity is causing coral reefs to die out—which houses thousands of organisms’ homes and food sources. Due to the contaminants, we release into the natural environment, we are slowly losing ecosystems every day. Therefore, I want to be the researcher to help save the oceanic life from these horrible conditions. Also, the career of marine biology can take a person anywhere, from the coasts of the Bahamas all the way to the depths of the Arctic Ocean. This provides the advantage
When I was at university completing a bachelor of environmental science I also learnt a lot about commercial fishing and aquaculture practices and programs and the laws with protect the marine life been impacted.
Marine biology is perfect for budding underwater explorers. It's just the job for those who are fascinated by sharks, fish, coral, and other sea creatures. Marine biologists are scientists who study saltwater life and its environment. Some biologists study how these types of creatures interact with each other. For instance, they might observe how sea anemones and coral interact in their habitats.
Although there can be certain cons to pursuing marine biology as a profession, there are an abundant amount of pros to living this life. In addition to learning about marine creatures, marine biologists also help develop medicines and find different cures for sicknesses ("What is Marine Biology?”). Marine biologists get to see amazing aquatic places and animals that are very astounding and beautiful. I have wanted to be a marine biologist since I was five years old I never saw myself being anything other then that. After reading five articles and writing this essay, I cannot wait to go to college and become a marine biologist. The ocean takes up 96.5% of the surface of the earth. There are numerous amounts of mysteries that make up the deep-sea and without the help of marine biologists they would all be
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by marine life. I visited the Baltimore Aquarium many times as a child; I remember being amazed by the different kinds of animals I saw. I spent my summers at the library reading about marine organisms, their habitats, their
Everyone has a legacy that they want to leave on the world, whether it’s for a small amount of people or for the whole world to remember. I want my legacy to be involved with something I love doing, so I decided that I want to create an organization that focuses on benefiting aquatic structures and to hopefully inspire young people to get into oceanography. The lives I will touch are people who have similar interests in marine sciences, just like Dr. Vincent Encomio did for me in Stuart, Florida, so they can get involved in restoring and restoration of marine organisms.
Marine biologist play a key role in understanding climate change and identifying sustainable and profitable ways humans can use the sea and its resources. Marine biologist understand marine organisms needs in their habitats, ultimately helping protect species and reduce human threats. As experts in understanding marine habitats, marine biologist often form essential parts of relief teams. They respond to oil spills and chemical leaks, helping other scientist restore normalcy to local habitats. Sometimes, marine biologists influence other spheres, such as economics and law. They might analyze the effect of sonar on whales and seals, for instance, recommending best practices for reducing harm on those sensitive populations. Marine biologists understand how the ocean supports basic needs, and in turn relay that information to lawmakers, who establish protocols regarding human use of ocean waters and marine organisms. Marine biologist help develop ocean technology too, improving waste elimination, energy sourcing and extraction of key sources. A brief review of components of the marine environment, world food resources, climate control, air and water quality, transportation, and the ecosystem balance are important features that are studied by marine biology. So, understanding why marine biology is important is foundational to integrating a balanced approach toward management of the sea and proper stewardship of organisms,
As a mariner its important to know about the marine life, that was one reason I have chosen this topic for my today's short presentation.
