Biome Description:
Chaparrals have different terrains. For example, they can be flat plains or rocky mountains and hills. Chaparrals are primarily found in California and North of Baja California Peninsula, Mexico. Wildfires are very common since the climate is very dry and hot.
Climate and Location:
During winter, chaparrals can be cool and moist but rarely will it rain. Chaparral regions receive only around 10-17 inches of rain throughout the year and the average temperature during winter is 50 degrees F. During the summer, it is very hot, possibly reaching over 100 degrees F. However, it's not surprising to see a drastic change in weather overnight. Even during summer it is possible to see the temperature go down to 70 degrees the
The Chihuahuan desert is large area of the northern Mexico and runs into the southern part of the United Stated which include west Texas. The region of the desert has a high altitude of 1000 to 1500 meters which fall to about 350 meters along the Rio Grande River. Summers are very hot and the winter are somewhat cool, which some night frosts. Rainfall in this area is about 20-30 cm which mostly happens during the summer time. In most of the Chihuahuan Desert most of it has calcareous soil that are derived from the limestone beds. The Chihuahuan Desert has many types of vegetation such as Yucca, such as Torrey yucca or the banana yucca, they are very difficult in telling them apart because of hybridization, because they are
Summer: Refreshing sea breezes allow for pleasing conditions. Temperatures average to about 25*C (78*F) with 11 to 12 hours of daylight. It does not rain much during this season, about 29 dry days per month. Southeastern regions are affected by a subtropical anticyclone that permits temperatures to rise to 40*C.

The normal weather for most of the seasons is always humid ,with mainly warm summers with high days of 80 and low nights of 60. It is the hottest in july and coldest in january. Attractions/National Park/Points of Interest-Section
The Mohave Desert spreads across Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and some parts of the State of California; and its climate reflects extremes of hot and cold. At winter temperatures are cold, as low as 8 degree Fahrenheit, while the summer reaches about 120 degree Fahrenheit, winds are present year round and blow at about 25 MPH regularly and there are gusts of 75MPH. There is no time were the extreme weather is sustainable.
The California Chaparral is an example of a chaparral biome, and is located in Western North America along the coast of California. This chaparral is a mix of grasslands, woodlands, and mountains. The mountains in the California Chaparral are steeply sloped and are as high as 5,000 feet above the sea level. There are two main season climates in this area which include: rainy and wet, and dry and hot. The climates are one of the main factors that determine what plants and animals are found in the California Chaparral. There is a variety of different animals and approximately 2,000 different kinds of plants that are found in this area that have all learned to adapt to the dry and arid climate of the Chaparral.
The following section provides general descriptions of each of the major biomes on the Reservation. Biomes are communities of plants and animals that are typically expected to be found together on the land. For example Gila monster lizards, jack rabbits, creosote bushes, and prickly pear cactus all might be expected to be found in the same place. Natural resource managers would probably classify such a place a “desert scrub” biome and expect to find it in the southwest United States or northwestern Mexico. Climate, geology, and topography are major factors in determining the occurrence and characteristics of biomes across landscapes.
Pack your bathing suit for Summer! The average temperature for Summer is in the low 80s. Winter you will have lows in the 30s and 40s! Fall will average mid 60’s and spring will be 60-80s. Plan your trip accordingly to the weather and the activities you plan on doing.
The Alpine Biome covers up sixteen percent of the earth's surface. It’s one of the coldest biomes all over the world. Almost all animals that live in the Alpine Biome can survive the extreme weathers by insulating their bodies with fat, and extra fur.

Due to the size of the Canadian Shield there’s quite a variety of climates. In the north part (Nunavut, northwest territories, northern Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec) the winter averages -25 ℃ and summer average about 10 ℃. In The southern part (Ontario, southern Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec) the average winter temperatures are around -8 ℃ and 22 ℃ in the summer. Over all the average rainfall is about 30 cm and the average snowfall is about 140 cm.
Native riparian vegetation forms an important part of a healthy functioning ecosystem and has many important ecological benefits. The riparian zone plays many essential roles in the functioning of the river ecosystem, including:
The mountains usually have a cooler temperature, around 74° Fahrenheit in the summer months. The amount of rain and precipitation varies every year, sometimes with long droughts. The Coastal Plain and Piedmont receive between 46 and 52 in of precipitation a year, while the mountains receive between 56 and 76 in.
