Birth- Andrei was born in October 1936 to Anna and Roman Chikatilo, who were of Ukrainian descent. Puberty- Andrei most likely went through puberty later than normal, around age 16-17. This is assumed because his only sexual experience as an adolescent was at 18. He may have had lower levels of testosterone as seen from his smaller size, however that also may have been due to environmental factors. During puberty, he realized that he could not achieve an orgasm, which caused Andrei to have a low self-esteem. Temperament: Andrei falls under Kagan’s category of a shy child. He was very isolated and was bullied as a child, so he spent a lot of his time reading and memorizing books and notes alone. Child- Grew up in the “breadbasket” during Stalin’s rule His parents did not earn any wages and worked as collectivist farmers Lived in one room house He was bullied (kids called his father, who was held prisoner in Germany, a coward and traitor) Teen- His mother gave …show more content…
His mother, Anna Chikatilo, was an authoritarian parent. She was described as brutal and oppressive and was said to be abrasive and would beat Andrei for wetting the bed as a child. This may be a cause of Andrei’s aggressive behavior later in life, explain his shy, or fearful, demeanor around other people, as well as his social incompetence. His father, Roman Chikatilo, was uninvolved in Andrei’s life. Roman had to leave to serve in WWII for a most of Andrei’s childhood and was later taken prisoner and thought to be a traitor. This may have contributed to Andrei’s lack of social knowledge and why Andrei was emotionally withdrawn. As for self-control, the authoritarian parenting that Andrei experienced could have lead to a lack of self-motivation and self-control, instead receiving feedback on behaviors simply by being punished. Later in life, this could have caused Andrei’s impulsive behavior regarding his murders and
Having six siblings as a child, and being the youngest, not much attention was payed to him. His family was not very wealthy, and having five other siblings did not help. His father was in World War II,so he grew up most of the time with basically one other boy in the house, his older brother. Growing up, he was generally left to himself, so he was out of the house often, more and more as he grew up, with his friends. He did not play any organized sports, because their really was not enough time for it with so many children, although his brother was involved in Little League Baseball.
Had trouble connecting with children his age and as he entered school he was constantly bullied, often in front of girls.
Throughout Andrei Chikatilo's childhood and early adult life may have been the reason why this man became such a vicious killer. Chikatilo had an awful childhood since day one. When analyzing Chikatilo one must start at his birth. He was born with water on his brain Chikatilo like any teenage boy felt a desire for girls, because he was so insecure and shy he probably felt more comfortable with younger girls. At an early age Chikatilo felt power over younger girls between age eight and age sixteen. When Chikatilo could not get an erection it caused him anger and frustration. When looking at Chikatilo's childhood, you would have to assume that he was traumatized and a product of all the horrible events in his later years. Going through these events alone would make anyone a psychopath.
Andrei Chikatilo, born on October 16, 1936, in the Yabluchne, Ukraine in the former Soviet Union. Convicted in 1992 of 52 murders, Chikalto had confessed to 56. Andrei Chikalto’s childhood was marked by mass famine. According to Chikatilo, his brother had been kidnapped and cannibalized by starving neighbors. During World War II, Chikatilo’s father was drafted and would later become a prisoner of war. Chikatilo would witness Nazi-occupied Ukraine and the ravages of war. Andrei Chikatilo’s home was destroyed during this occupation leaving Andrei and his mother living in a single room shack. Chikalto’s mother was likely raped by German soldiers which resulted in the pregnancy of Andrei’s little sister. Famine continued to plague Ukraine after World War II had ended. Due to malnutrition, Andrei was physically weak and often the target of ridicule at school.
After their success in their first video, Haida Raid 2, the song writers and producers came together once again to produce a second segment. In their first video they showcased their views on the pipeline and oil dilemma as well as trying to reach the audience of the general public, they did so through rhetoric. Joseph Stalin was born in Djugashvili in the middle of December in 1878. Not much is known about his younger years as a child. He was an only child and it is said that he grew up in a very poor house hold. Stalin’s remorseless attitude can be credited to his father actions since he was beaten as a child. Due to this Stalin dedicated his life to his studies which in turn lead to him getting a scholarship. He then used this scholarship at a catholic school in hopes of becoming a priest. While studying to become, a priest he also began indulging in the readings of Karl Marx. This influenced him to practice Marxism and got him kicked out of school for it.
