One of the greatest country in the world, often referred as the land of opportunities, the United States of America is a melting pot. Immigrants from around the globe seek for an opportunity to get a visa to enter the United States legally. Regardless of the visa (student, business, travel) immigrants ultimate ‘American Dream’ is to acquire permanent residency (Green Card) or US Citizenship. While most try to enter America legally, the visa process is excruciating and the stamping is never guaranteed. In recent years ‘birth tourism’ has been a major issue within US, especially the state of California (Matt Sheehan, Born in the USA). There are two ways to be a citizen of the United States; birth in US and/or naturalization. The naturalization process is time consuming, followed by legal paper work, lump sum of money and lawyers. While the effort is worth the while people are tad bit impatience to go over the longer route. Once you enter the United States (legally or illegally) and you birth a child in the American soil, granted by American constitution the child is a born citizen of the glorified country (14th Amendment of the U.S Constitution). While some enter in the US legally to give birth, in recent years the concept of birth tourism has taken its turn towards illegal business. 'Birth tourism' has become a big market for money hungry illegal organization who help arrange hospital visits, food and accommodation. Sheehan article states that the major immigrants that actively following the idea of US born citizen are the Chinese population. The constitution has given the right of citizenship to anyone born within the United States, but the illegal immigrants action has raised many question in regards to the reinterpretation of the fourteenth
