Blake Shelton Makes $600,000 Donation to OK City Children's Hospital
Blake Shelton is a busy many these days, but that doesn't stop him from still trying to do some good things in this world. Over the weekend, he took time to help out a very special children's hospital in Oklahoma City during one of his concerts.
The hospital, The Jimmy Everest Center, helps treat children who have blood disorders and blood cancers. Oftentimes, they never ask for payment from families seeking their assistance. This is what brought Black Shelton to donate $600,000 to the center to help cover some of their costs.
During the concert, he pulled a couple of men from the center on the stage and presented them with the check.

It is known that Dylann Roof was planning his attack and picked the church specifically because they were African American and they were religious. He shot and killed nine people but before he did he sat in the church for an hour and even said he 'Almost didn't go through with It because everyone was so nice to him'. The reason what he did qualifies as a hate crime is because he was targeting a certain race and a certain religion that he did not like and murdered
Rick Perry was born on March 4, 1950 in Paint Creek, Texas. As a boy he was active in boy scouts and eventually earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. In 1968 he graduated from Paint Creek High School in 1968 and entered Texas A&M University. In 1972 he graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. While in college he joined Corps of Cadets and earned commission in the Air-Force. He left the Air-Force in 1977 and to enter the cotton farming business with his dad.
James Richard (Rick) Perry was the forty- seventh governor of Texas. He served from 2000-2015. Perry grew up as a farmer, so he knows what it is like to work hard for what you have. Perry also served in the United States Air force from 1972-1977. While in the air force, he flew a C-130 tactical airlift plane over Europe and the Middle- East. Perry is also a lifetime member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and of the American Legion Post. Before being elected as Lt. Governor, Perry served two terms as Texas Commissioner of Agriculture and three terms in the Texas House of Representatives.
For my first question is asked how did Luke Bryan decide he was going to be a singer/songwriter. I was wondering this because he is one of my favorite country singers. Well researching my questions I found out that it was a dream of his for a long time. So after he graduating high school,he moved to Nashville,Tennessee to pursue his dreams. After a while he moved back home,then moved back to Nashville . He went home because his dad need help and he wanted to help his dad more than do his music carer. Luke Bryan’s family has gone through lots of tragedies in the past several years he has lost both of his siblings and recently has just lost his brother-in-law. His three teenagers were without a home so Luke and his wife took them. The teenager’s father, Ben Lee Cheshire had died last November and recently Luke has been more open to talking about these changes in his life.

Dylann Roof will face the death penalty. Roof is accused of killing nine people during a Bible study on July 17 at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Prosecutors are trying to get Roof the death penalty because he has killed more than two people, and other lives were put into risks. Prosecutors also mentioned that Roof does not feel any remorse for the killings that he committed. Roof also have some federal charges, this includes: hate crimes and obstruction of the practice of religion.
Throughout his short lived life, Ryan White brought about awareness and educated many people about AIDS. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana and later became the face of AIDS during the mid 1980´s. White, being a hemophiliac, contracted the disease from a contaminated blood treatment. After being diagnosed with AIDS in December of 1984, the doctors gave White only six months to live. To the surprise of many, White lived five years longer than the experts predicted.
