Blogging with WordPress is, in many ways, the best way to blog. Before we explore the benefits of blogging with WordPress, however, let 's consider the possible downsides: 1. WordPress requires some technical knowledge. If you don 't understand FTP and a little bit of HTML and CSS, you are going to have an uphill battle when it comes to learning how to use WordPress. This doesn 't mean that it 's impossible, just that you 're going to have a bit of a learning curve. 2. WordPress requires you to pay for your own hosting. While there are some free services that offer WordPress software (such as the free blog hosting at GoDaddy.com or the WordPress.com site) These services also use a variety of methods to advertise right on your blog, which you want to avoid anyways. 3. WordPress widgets and add-ons, which are the parts of WordPress that make it as powerful and versatile as it is, can be confusing to use at times. Still, there are many positive aspects to blogging with WordPress. Here are some reasons why blogging with WordPress might be the best option for your blog: 1. WordPress allows you the ultimate opportunity to customize your blog. Colors, fonts, backgrounds, banners and buttons are just the beginning. 2. WordPress plug-ins allow you to do all sorts of amazing things, from filtering out spam comments to displaying your Twitter feed on your blog. These plug-ins can set up an articles index, they can help you insert AdSense code, and they can do any number of other

This woman has had depression for years, she has been through so many events that other teenagers her age has been through. In this particular blog, she lists six things that many people said to her when they found out she has depression. The first one she said was, "But you're too young to have depression." I strongly agree with her response to that. I have a 9 year old cousin, she has anxiety and with her anxiety comes depression. One night she messaged me and she asked, "How do you deal with it? How do you sleep at night?" At that moment I realized that even a 9 year old worries about everything I

Blog 8 is far clearer than Blog 3 because it seems to flow linearly, in a logical procession from idea to idea. While Blog 3 jumps erratically from topic to topic, Blog 8 gradually builds to a conclusion from a set of well-reasoned premises. Additionally, Blog 3 relies on a somewhat confusing analogy to prove an incredibly complex idea which muddies its conclusion by casting a shadow of confusion over the argument. Blog 8, on the other hand, is very specific and calls attention to minute details such as how Gadfly’s ambiguity in word choice leads to a faulty conclusion. Additionally, while Blog 8 focuses on the issues with Gadfly’s argument, Blog 3 loses some of its clarity by focusing too intently on providing examples to support a single
Blogging is one of the most common ways that nurses use social media. John Lincoln, of Internet marketing company Ignite Visibility, stated that blogging on the industry that nurses love, in a positive and thoughtful way, become subject matter experts. He also stated that having an individual blog and social media presence shows a nurse’s dedication to the field, helps them stay on top of trends in the industry, and looks great to employers. Blogging has become more popular in recent years and has even made its way into the nursing profession. Blogs may tell stories that are funny, describe a heart-wrenching event, gripe about work. Research into blogging and the nursing profession, has given insight on why some nurses blog and how and why nurses choose to use blogs. Some of the ways blogs can help nurses is through their ability to educate others, to mentor nursing students, or to mentor nurses changing areas of profession. Some blogs are directed towards a certain genre like nursing students. These blogs attract nursing students and even when they graduate there will always be a class behind them that will and can relate to the same blogs. They can relate to the same blog because they are in chronical order by date and can even be searched for by topic. Nurses use blogs as a way to communicate to their peers and also provides a platform for them to mentor a group or an individual.
As a format, blogging has matured over the last couple of decades into a writing style unto itself. Regardless of whether you know anything about literature or creative writing, you should be able to spot the characteristics of blog writing right away: Conversational, passionate, provoking, highly personal and open-ended. Blogs are closer to the original essais of Michel de Montaigne, the father of the modern essay, before that art form was possessed and transmuted into the rhetorical framework we all learn in high school these days.
It happens to the best of us. You start off a blog with a ton of ideas, posting multiple

Blogs are widely embraced as a tool that has revolutionized publishing on the web. It’s easy and it’s fun to keep a blog, two elements that are always attractive. I like blogs, but what I’m going to write about in this essay is a way in which I think blogs don’t work; or, at least, a way in which blogs didn’t work in my teaching in the way I tried to allow it to happen. Just to telegraph my points clearly: First, and I only want to touch on this point briefly, I learned that the logic extreme of the “student-centered classroom” doesn’t work that well, even with electronic tools that you would think would facilitate it and even in a class of advanced students who you would think would know
