Blood type is the type of blood a person has that is passed down from the parents. The goal of this experiment was to find out if all the children were Mr. Johnson’s. The guided question was “Are all of Mr. Johnson’s children his biological offspring?” This relates back to the background information because the group had to find the blood type of each child and relate it to Mr. Johnson’s blood type.
There Will Be Blood is a historical drama written and directed by P.T Anderson. The film explores themes of ambition, loneliness, lust for power, false personas, hatred, lack of faith, mistrust and loss of humanity. Anderson explores these themes through the characters of Daniel Plainview and Eli Sunday. In addition to character exploration, Anderson uses a variety of cinematic techniques in order to subtextually portray these themes. Miklo is the very same case in Taylor Hackford’s Blood In Blood Out who struggles to prove himself as a Chicano due to his white skin however culturally Miklo is as Chicano as anyone in Onda. The most important part of this dynamic, is that when Miklo gets arrested for killing spider, a rival gang leader, the prison gang system is divided by race and skin color all which he is stuck in the middle of. In prison, is where he would meet Magic a member of spider’s gang which openly fought with Miklo’s gang Vatos Locos. These are A blood type which has the genotype either AA or AO, B blood type which has the genotype either BB or BO, AB blood type which has the genotype AB, and O blood type which has the genotype OO. These genotypes show a combination of complete dominance and codominance. A and B traits are dominant to the recessive O trait, however, the A trait is codominant to the B trait. Each blood type codes for certain antigens. A blood codes for the A surface antigen, B blood codes for the B surface antigen, AB blood codes for both the A and B surface antigen, and O blood does not code for a surface antigen. The free-standing building was all the way on the opposite side of campus. I rode the bus and was dropped off in front; everyone scurried out. As I walked the hallway, most of the labs appeared like classroom labs: a large front station for the instructor surrounded by smaller lab stations for the students. Finally, the hallway led to a smaller corridor of private labs. I found my way to a larger lab that opened up into an atypical lab set up. Every inch of space in the lab was utilized by a machine, or boxes of spare lab gear. It was not as simplistic as the teaching labs. After peering around a few lab stations, I was greeted by Sean, who was in charge of the lab. He asked me a few mundane questions about how I felt about science and what my goals were, and then he proceeded to introduce me to the researchers. The purpose of this experiment is to identify the different blood types through the antigen and antibody reaction by using the anti- A, Anti- B and Anti- Rh serums we will be able to identify the different blood types. We will also discuss how this can be used in the clinical setting of this blood typing procedure, by doing so we will know how antigens and antibodies relate to the blood typing procedure in the real world settings.

When foreign antigens enter the body, chemical signals are dispatched to different parts of the immune system and send it into action. B lymphocytes produce the antigen specific antibodies. The antibodies will then attach to the antigen/virus and T lymphocytes will attack the antigen that the antibody has bound itself to. Once the antigen has been eliminated phagocytes, which are cells that absorb bacteria and other small particles/substances, will come through and absorb the remains of the antigen/infection. In a forensic setting antibodies can also be used to identify an unknown blood/protein. The purpose of this experiment is to use the process of immunoprecipitation to identify an unknown host protein.
