I'm no stranger to hard work. I have volunteered at Blue Castle Alignment Shop and Automotive for approximately one year. I have learned to work with others, to be professional, responsible, organized, and it has also help me improve my social skills. I am a fast learner and will not quit when faced with a problem instead I will find answer.
For my service project, I chose to work at the Meadowlark Meals organization. This organization takes in donations of food and uses them to make meals for children at the school to take home on the weekends. If these children did not take this food home, they would not eat at all over the weekend. I chose to work at this organization because I love kids and it is sad to see them hungry when I have plenty of food to eat. I wanted to make a difference in their lives and I thought that this organization could help me accomplish that.
Characters such as Macbeth or Professor Moriarty, while typically portrayed as “evil,” are morally complex characters that view themselves as protagonists, similar to Reverend Hale. In Arthur Miller’s seminal recreation of the 1692 Salem Witch Trials, The Crucible, a group of Puritan farmers, landowners, and priests collide in a tale of desperate fear and hysteria. Reverend Hale, a minister with what appears limitless knowledge of the supernatural, is thrust into an event that his expertise could never prepare him for. While Hale’s intentions to eliminate all Demonic presence from Salem appear noble, the outcome leads to the deaths of many innocents and the greater spread of hysteria. Hale creates chaos by placing himself into a leadership
I am very involved in volunteer work because working to make a better world is very dear to my heart. I was the Senior Class Representative of my high school service club and my job was to organize a lot of events. I was heavily involved in the committee for our Mini Dance Blue Marathon, and loved dancing the night away for the kids. I loved working with kids and helping to shape them so I have volunteered at day camps such as Winshape Camp Foundation and Camp Can-I-Go for a few years.
During my childhood, I would always want to help out with moving materials and fixing them. These brought me to volunteer at some bigger activities that require to sell and give to individuals. At my school’s concession stores, I sold products for a basketball game. While doing these
Helping these people fit in to are local community it enhances my life by working side by side with new people and gives a better understand of the world we now live in
I really enjoy being helpful, and I like volunteering. I take upon myself many things, including lots of work with kids, and helping many elderly or disabled people who cannot do some things, that I can do. Together with my parents, my younger sister, and two other families, we helped an elderly lady clean out the ditch in her front yard, we spent 6 hours digging with shovels in a single day. We worked together to clean the ditch, and the smile on the lady’s face made everyone’s day, she even made us cookies! I also volunteered at the Aurora Portage County’s summer reading programs, where I became friends with some of the other helpers.
On top of being hardworking in school, I am also hardworking outside of school. I’m not old enough to get a job working at an actual business, but, I still do work. I help my mom and dad when they have a job with Homestead Properties Restoration. We clean up foreclosed houses so that they can
In addition, I have volunteered at my youth group at Christus Church. I have spent roughly 15 hours involving myself in service projects that help our community. Finally, I have helped with the trail development at Nordic Mountain. I have chipped in 30 hours towards creating trails, raking pine needles, digging up dirt, removing debris, and weed whacking the trails. I not only occupy the willingness to help out the community, but I also possess strong feelings towards a vigorous
Though I have never had a real job, I have accumulated work experience in a different way. Most days I must complete chores around the house, such as doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom, or stacking firewood. I also cut my dad’s hair and mow my grandparents’ lawn. Doing these tasks has taught me not to complain but rather to stay positive no matter the circumstance.
For the last nine years I have volunteered at my mother's school, Family of Christ. I help the teachers put up bulletin boards, clean, and help with the children. I love to help the teachers, who work so hard to better these children's lives. I always try to be helpful and compassionate towards others. On Wednesdays I also go to the Family of Christ Church to help feed the homeless.
I hope to increase that effect this year when I start as head of promotions for the robotics team. I have always been hardworking, and I find that the most fulfilling work is the kind that benefits other people. Therefore, I seek out volunteer opportunities. My absolute favorite place to volunteer is my church’s annual festival because I get to help create a cheerful environment for families. I have also done behind-the-scenes volunteer work such as assisting with ECFE
Volunteering and participating in service projects are two of the most rewarding activities in my opinion. Some people may find it was a hassle or only do it because they have to meet the minimum requirement for school or work. Helping others, for me, has always been somewhat second nature to me. Over many years of volunteering I believe I have developed qualities that will stick with me for life and benefit me in my career. As early as freshman year, in high school, I found myself looking for ways to give back. I started by looking for opportunities within school, where I came across the A+ tutoring program, and so my journey of giving back began. While tutoring, my patience for others really evolved, partly by choice and partly because
Growing up I worked at Les Schwab Tire Center since I was 16 years old. I loved working on cars and learning how to be self sufficient if something of my own ever broke. I knew after a few months
As most people in California, and elsewhere, are aware, being convicted of a crime often carries penalties with lasting consequences. If you are not a U.S. citizen, however, the implications of a conviction may be farther reaching, and could include deportation. At Ronzio & Associates, we are often asked about the effects of criminal charges and convictions. In this post, we will discuss how a criminal conviction may impact your immigration status.
In the horizon, there are always heightened debates over issues with capital punishment in today judicial system. Today thirty-three states, along with the United Stated Government and U.S. military, have the power to legally take away someone’s life. Though it is very much illegal to take someone life within society, our state and federal government’s do the very same thing we are prohibited from doing. The first section in this paper, will be discussing the reason on why our governments allow capital punishment, relating to the deterrence of crimes such as murder. The deterrence of murder and capital punishment seem to only work if you over exercise capital punishment. Such evidence provided will show the difference in states that utilize capital punishment more than other states that have not abolished the deterrence method. The second section will be discussing the retribution relating to capital punishment. It also covers unanswered questions that relate to utilizing methods of execution on innocent people. The last section covers the Eighth Amendment violation relating to cruel and unusual punishment. It also discusses some of the botched executions that have been conducted over the years.
