The sun glares at me, burning me even more as I look out onto the ocean. The water looks like a blanket of diamonds, making me grin easily. Thinking of the treasure out there, my toes curl into the sand, feeling the rough texture prod me even more. My tanned, muscled arm wraps around the smooth surface of my white surfboard, giving me a rush of adrenaline for what is to come.
I jog towards the ocean, my heart thumping faster and faster as I get closer. The first splash of water hits me, a cold rush enlivening my whole body. I thrust my joy against the weight of the sea, and climb on. My wetsuit clad legs dangle in the clear blue water, as I squint at what’s in front of me, looking for the perfect wave.
I start paddling, my fingers brushing
To begin with, if I was currently an advocate for the environment and animals I would first focus on the Orcas, or killer whales, at theme parks, specifically Sea World. First of all, Sea World is inhumane. Five of the Orcas currently at sea world were “whale-napped” from the oceans they called home. For example, Tilikum, one of the most know whales in the Sea World franchise, is now thirty-two years old. He was captured at the age of two by, which means he has been in captivity for thirty years. And, before anyone says Tilikum was injured so they “rescued” him I want to say that it is fact that Tilikum was not injured. He was taken from his family and confined to a tiny tank just so people could make a hefty profit. Also, if the Orcas are
HCAD 790: Practitioner Application 2 Jennifer Chaix J16006447 September 12, 2017 Turning Today’s Bloody Healthcare Market Blue When discussing healthcare, “blue” and “red” are adjectives typically associated with the color of a patient’s veins and blood. However, from the executive’s point of view, these two adjectives mean something completely different. In the healthcare field, there are two market strategies: red ocean strategy and blue ocean strategy. “Red Oceans” represent the pre-identified market place which is comprised of all the types of businesses which are actively participating in the industry day.
It is stunning how without the use of a visual aid, the music shapes such vivid and live imagery, images of his childhood and cars enhance a lot of Frank Ocean's storytelling as he doesn't use cars in the typical Pop/Hip hop way. Instead his cars express a sense of vulnerability and loneliness. He also uses them as method to tell his own stories. Frank Ocean wouldn't be considered a typical superhero, but to me he is one. People think of Frank as this really mysterious and hidden from the world person because of his almost non existent social media presence, besides the fact that he has a Tumblr account, but the reason I feel a closer emotional understanding of his work than most other artists is because of his own personal depth. Frank disappeared

Prime steaks, like filet mignon, ribeye and strip steaks, come with your choice of “accessories”,
Gentile waves roll in as sea gulls call out together creating a rhythm of steady breathing. During the introduction of his song entitled Blue Ocean Floor, Justin Timberlake painted this serene seashore scene. Leading listeners to a new place, the instrumentals made a background breathing sound that continued throughout the song, resulting in an overall feeling of anticipation. As the subject of anticipation, Justin Timberlake sung of a couple whose love seemed hopeless on the outside due to their surroundings but found a way to love each other forever. Justin Timberlake wrote this song in the second person, and brought a new level of meaning to it by singing solo with only loops to support him. It seemed
Like how seasons are the changes on land, they can also be apply to oceans in temperate latitudes. The most productive seas on the planet are the seasonal seas because they border the temperate parts of the world where conditions change throughout the year. The power of the sun is constantly changing; hence there are different seasons even under the seas due to the different in sunlight radiation. In the far north, summers are warm and gentle, while winters are wracked by savage storms. Sable Island, southeast of Nova Scotia in the Atlantic Ocean is home to the world’s largest colony of gray seal, about 100,000 seals come to breed here each year. The climate at this location is heavily influenced by the sea and being located in the path of major frontal storms and cyclones, precipitation is high. Around March, the seas have warmed enough to trigger phytoplankton to appear. Phytoplankton is tiny algae, each smaller than a pinhead. During this time of the year, phytoplankton reproduces with an amazing speed and produces more annual growth than all the parts on land together. They
The world is home to many living things, the majority of life on earth though is living in the ocean with a percent of 94%. Since the beginning of the 1800s, man has been mapping the great oceans and what’s in them, but no more than 90 years ago have we started to look deeper. The ocean hasn't been completely explored, but with the advances in ocean exploration technology, scuba diving’s, and with those finds of strange creatures and treasures along the way.
I run into the water and tumble into the waves. I feel them strongly hitting against me,I see my sister riding against the rough waves. I taste the salty sea water I got itchy sand all over I stood up just to be knocked back over.
To start off with, getting out of the car after a twelve hour car ride is the best feeling in world. When I got out of the car the first thing I noticed where how many people there were and how salty it smelt. It's so salty around the beach you could even taste the salt in the air. Newport Beach is one of the most famous beaches around California so there's tons of people. Everyone is doing something from swimming in the cold dark blue ocean, to getting a tan, or even playing spikeball everyone is enjoying their day at the extremely hot beach. When wanting to jump into the water you have to run across the hot gold metallic sand. Right before you jump into the chilly water your parents make you apply
The waves gently tug you further along. You offer no resistance nor caution. In seconds everything goes wrong. The waves begin to feel like smothering hands, gripping your ankles; upon looking down- the waters seem to form circular chain-like grips upon your ankles.
The Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the five oceans in the world. It is home to many fish and other creatures. It is one of the five oceans that actually intrigue me. My questions were, How big is the ocean itself, what life lives here, and the trade routes of this ocean.
Has it ever occurred to you that there is another world among us? Beneath the deep blue sea is a vast landscape with plants and animals abundant. These animals are constantly forced to adapt to survive, showing just how strong and resilient they are. Three of these, however, stand out from the rest with features that allow them to survive in the harshest conditions.
There are so many unbelievable charities in the world that do incredible things. To choose just one charity to donate 10 million dollars to is extremely hard, but the charity that I choose is the Oceanic Society. What the Oceanic Society does is to help improve the oceans health by addressing the main problem, which is human behavior. Their mission is conserve marine life and their habitats by connecting people and nature. The Oceanic Society has many projects that they are specifically working to help marine life. They are widely acclaimed for their projects for maine life and their habitats. Some of those projects are the Belize Bottlenose Dolphin Research, California Whale Rescue, and the Drifters Program. Pollution is a huge adversary for the Oceanic Society because they can only do so much to help without us doing our part, and stop polluting the oceans. This is a program that I am a strong advocate for. I am a fanatic about trying to protect our oceans and marine life.
Just as I sit down on the sand my mind starts to unwind. The many spectacular sights jump at my eyes. As far as I can see there is turquoise water in front of me. Surfers wearing their bright colored suits grab their
I headed out to the water after setting up my towel. The shock of the frigid water took my breath away and I was momentarily stunned. However, I quickly recovered; finding my body adjusts rapidly to the cold water. I waded a few feet into it before leaning forward and swimming out. I didn't dare to go too far though, instead turning to swim parallel to the shore. I was comforted by the sounds of the ocean; the rhythmic pounding of the waves represses all of my worries. I looked into the cloudless cerulean blue sky and see the perfection of life. Just when I was starting to get tired and wanted to go back to the shore, I saw something.
