“A hero is somebody who is selfless, who is generous in spirit, who just gives back as much a possible and helps people. A hero to me is someone who just tries, and deeply cares.” (- Anonymous). Bob Tent is my hero, not only is he my hero, he is the greatest teacher I have ever known. His kindness, Generosity, and love for people is unmatched. But most importantly, his love for his son. To which he would have given the world.
Bob Tent has proved his heroism through many different acts of selflessness. But no act has proven him a hero more than his actions for his only son. For his son, he has done many things. Such as, bailing him from jail, allowing him to stay at his house even in his late 40’s, he has given him money, caring, love, and much needed parental guidance. He has done much, more than this. However, his most important act of kindness was the hardest. He let go, after so many years of being used by his own son, he and his wife decided to cut all ties. His son was near in his 40’s, they thought he would grow out of the behavior, but he never did. So every time he asked for something, they told him no. A risky choice, but the damage was done already. At that point his son was already using hardcore drugs. When his father

He has made plenty of mistakes over time. As is to be expected, I mean we’re all only human right? For his decisions regarding his son, I can see only hope that he will grow into a better person. He’s nearing 50, he has no more friends, and his family has refused to be around him in his current lifestyle. Leaving him one of two options, get better, or stay the same with an uncertain future. As for his granddaughters, he has given them their chances, and one day maybe they will have a functional relationship. As of right now, nobody knows what the future holds, but Bob carries on regardless. Which is the real reason I see him as my hero. Besides the others of
Heroes come in different shapes, sizes, and looks. Maybe someone you saw on the street one day was heroic for saving someone’s life in a car accident. A hero to me is someone who can be brave in situations that aren’t so safe, and take a risk to make sure everyone is okay, no matter who
A hero is someone who is admired and valued for their courage, outstanding achievements, and noble qualities. A hero to one person may not be a hero to another. I strongly agree with this definition for a hero to a person is not always a hero to others. In saying this, my hero is Isabelle Bruce Reid because she was the first female to qualify in Australia as a veterinarian. To me, Isabelle Reid was a name in history who changed the world, is valued and is a great role model.
Heroes come in all sizes, shapes, genders, and backgrounds. Heroes can be defined by many different standards and are people of great character, who spend their lives doing what they can to help others in need. Everyone has his or her favorite hero, my favorite hero is one that is little known but to me is a true inspiration. My hero is Rolf Benirschke. He is my hero for the courage, inspiration, and help that his words provided me when I was recovering from lifesaving surgery.
A hero, a hero is someone or something that tries to be funny and is loving and caring. My Mom, Sara Lundberg is a mother, a wife, a hard worker, and most of all my hero. Sara Lundberg has has dark brown eyes that are the opposite of her personality loving, caring and nice. She is my Michigan hero.
To me a hero is someone who is nice, kind, caring, open minded, confident, not afraid to help others and not a quitter.
He also had three kids and a wife he had to feed and make money for. He was barely making enough money to feed the family. During this time, a lot of people were struggling to find jobs and feed their families, so when they hear his story people are inspired. It gives them a sense of hope and it keeps them going because if James J Braddock can go from everything to nothing to something, then they could too. Being a hero is not an easy task, it comes with sacrifice.
Gun shots, car alarms, sirens from police cars or ambulances, and hustlers and gangsters yelling under my window are what I remember hearing every night growing up in Washington, D.C. Trying to raise a young male was hard, especially coming from the 8th ward projects of Green Valley Avenue. My father, Gary W. Hodnett Sr., was able to raise five children with all of these negative distractions that our community dealt him. He is the most significant person in my life, and I admire him so much. He has taught me so much about becoming a man and raising a family. I think my father was a fantastic provider, a great teacher, and a wonderful spiritual leaders and I wouldn’t change nothing about him.
A hero is a person who helps people in need. A hero possesses certain qualities which include the desire to help others, bravery, courtesy, courage, superhuman feats, and the ability to boast his or her accomplishment.
To me a hero is someone who can overcome trials and tribulations. A hero is brave enough to face the world and help others in a time of need. Langston Hughes is a good example of a hero because he helped his community and other young people in the world.
Are you a hero? What do you think defines a hero? Being a hero is not someone who is greedy or someone who changes the world. A hero is someone who is brave, determined, innovative, and someone who has leadership; people like Malala Yousafzai, Steve Jobs, and Dale Beatty are heroes. Anybody can be a hero and change the world
He has also helped in preparing me to become a nurturing mother to whatever type of children my future may hold. I know without my help Russ would not be where he is today, which is in a normal classroom making honor roll. Without Russ I would not be where I am today - an understanding, patient student working toward a degree in occupational therapy. My family has always taught that there is always something good in something bad. I know that my most positive traits were acquired from Russ's disabilities.
Anyone who influences anyone else by saving or helping save his or her lives can be a hero. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. changed the lives of millions of people by bringing justice to minorities. Mahatma Gandhi, one of the greatest heroes, led a nonviolent revolution to free his country. Even a parent can be a hero to his or her child by leading them in the right direction. All teachers are heroes when they make it their job to teach a child anything that will help them in life. You don’t have to go to great lengths by risking your life to make a difference in someone else’s life.
What is a hero? A hero is a person that helps someone and stands up for what is right.
For me a hero is someone who touches our lives in a personal way and does not do it for themselves.
When the word "hero" is spoken, everyone has different thoughts. Some will think of super powers like flying and saving people from villains; while others have a certain person they know or have heard of that come to mind who have done something to make a difference in the lives of others but who is a hero to you? To answer this question you must first ask yourself what a hero is; what comes to your mind when someone says the word. When I am confronted with these questions I always have the same thoughts; smart, strong will power, and someone who stands up for what they believe is right.
