In “The Cycle of Socialization,” Bobbie Harro advocates the belief that society, and basically the world, is in a never-ending “cycle of socialization.” Unfortunately, this cycle is not fair to all and the people involved are unable to choose where they fit in and the role they play. Harro continues to further explain that, “Our socialization begins before we are born, with no choice on our part…There is, therefore, no reason to blame each other or hold each other responsible for the identities we have” (16); however, that is not the way the world works.
