Body System : Body Systems Related To The Human Body

Satisfactory Essays

The human body is an elaborate system made of many body systems that are needed for it to function. The ten body systems are the muscular, digestive, circulatory, urinary, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, respiratory, and skeletal systems. All of these systems work together to keep the body functioning properly. If one system isn’t functioning properly then it will affect how the other bodily systems are functioning. In order for us to move our bodies, muscles are attached to the skeletal system. Our skeletal system is classified as the framework for our body. While it seems as though just the muscular and skeletal systems work together for movement, movement requires muscle contraction. Muscle contraction requires oxygen, which is obtained by the respiratory system, and the release of chemicals, which is stimulated by the nervous system. The chemicals that are released include calcium, sodium, and phosphorus which are waste products of the digestive system. Muscle contraction also produces waste products which are eliminated by the respiratory and excretory systems. So, in order for us to move our bodies it requires the help of the muscular, skeletal, respiratory, nervous, digestive, and excretory systems. As our body works constantly we produce both solid and liquid waste. The urinary system takes nutrients from food then uses them to maintain all bodily functions, including energy production. When our body has taken the nutrients, it needs the waste products
