The Boy Who Cried Wolf (Appropriation)
I was lying there still on the grass, the flock of sheep grazing next to me. My eyelids battered against my urges, resisting the need to sleep. I got up with the wind ruffling through my hair. I called "Dolly" to the nearest sheep. She came over and leaned in lovingly while I stroked its ear. Suddenly there was a rustle behind me. I turned around anxiously. To my horror I was staring eye to eye with a wolf. Its piercing blue eyes caused me to freeze, its neck white as snow. With two leaps it had reached me and in one quick move it pinned me to the ground. I tried to call for help, but I could only manage a weak gasp. Its eyes were filled with malice and intent while a tear rolled down my cheek. As it

The collision knocked him off his feet. I looked down at the boy and he was lifeless. I lifted my paw from his small neck. I had crushed it. This was all the villagers fault. He had found him in tears, yet because he didn't see me, he called the boy a liar. He could have saved the boy, yet at least my dinner has already been caught. Yum!
Reflection Statement
The purpose of this story was to re invent a fairy tale. I chose 'The boy who cried wolf' as I thought I could provide an interesting twist by changing perspectives to the boy and also the wolf. I also added that there actually was a wolf in the story to change the moral. At the end of the first paragraph, I ended it midway the sentence to create suspense. I then shifted perspective to the wolf. At the end of the second paragraph I then showed what actually happened at the end of the first. The wolf then reflected on the events of the night and concluded that the villager is to blame and not himself. I chose to leave the setting the same as I believed it would complement the content of the story well. Even though the dynamics of the story were changed, I believe the basis of story remains
As my car climbed the hill, my heart sunk into my stomach. I parked as far away from my friends as I could and quickly exited the car, not once looking at them. Now it was every man for himself. Emerging into the open air, I suddenly became aware of myself. I could feel my puffy, blood-shot eyes. My palms became slimy. My fingers clinched into a fist and my nails dug into my skin. My sight blurred and my tunnel of vision tried to focus on the front door. Every step seemed more awkward than the last. Eyes pierced me from all sides. I felt naked. My body trembled like a sheep in the midst of wolves.
However still don’t understand why instead of killing the wolf, they don’t put him in trial, like they would do to anyone who commits a crime. There is so much information missing in this story that it makes me feel like this was a setup and that the little girl is not really a victim. It makes me feel like the little girl knew the intentions that the wolf “might have” but instead she decides to let him continue with he plan. At the end the wolf in my opinion the wolf did not do anything wrong he was just following his instinct, he was an animal and that is what all the animals do. The parents are should be the one responsible for everything that happened because at the end the child was under their custody, right? Other than that I think the wolf was just doing the only thing he knew how to do, and that is hunt their prey down. Is not his fault that the little girl was at the forest, which is ironic because the girl knew that at the forest there were dangerous animals and that her life could be in danger. Little Red Riding Hood was the one who came to the wolf and not the wolf to her that is why the wolf was
Suddenly the growling was even more intense. It was menacing. Turning around thorough the glass window and darkness of night Caroline saw a pair of icy blue illuminating eyes staring back at her. Before she could calculate what was going on a large black wolf came through the glass window shattering it and a sharp pain dug in her neck and every thing went black.
The wolf stopped just inches away from Todrick. Suddenly sirens erupted around the corner and swarmed around Todrick and the wolf. The wolf quickly turned his attention to the cars that screeched to a stop. Men in padded uniforms stepped out with weapons that ordinary police officers didn’t carry around. Todrick got up quickly, “Sir step away we have animal control here ready to put this beast down.” Todrick quickly stepped in front of the wolf, unaware of how close he was until he felt the hot breath down his back. “Wait, don’t shoot!” Todrick called out holding up both of his hands. “I know this is all out of the ordinary
What is that ? A black wolf! What is he looking for ? Food? I don’t care anymore if he wants to eat me then so be it…….”daddy I will wait for you when you come back and we will play together right? (Flashback) “ no not yet I won’t lose hope yet I can’t let my child wait for me for too long neither my wife cuz if I do she will slap me even after I am dead ( smirked). I took my packback searching for a weapon but what I found were a few empty bottles of glass rope and also my id and my friends id. I broke the bottle smashing them on the ground, after that I took the tip of the bottles and tight them up between my fingers with the rope I had the wolf howl and after 20 seconds an entire crew came circling me slowly approaching me grrr me. For some reason I don’t feel fear it could be because my child is waiting for me or is just my will to live either way what is going to happen next is going to decide everything ( the
The common perspective of a wolf is a terrorist who kills innocent people and commits horrible crimes, however, horrific actions such as these are not the only things that can classify someone as a wolf. A wolf does not have to physically harm others in order to earn that title. It is not uncommon to be hurting emotionally and it has the potential to cause physical harm when taken too far. I believe that those who hurt innocent people emotionally are just as wolfly as those who physically harm others. Tim O’Brien’s novel, “The Things They Carried” is a unique novel composed of many short stories, all of which have the ability to be taken as individual short stories, or can be put together to form one long novel. These short stories focus on war, the real truth, the emotional truth, and the lies. There are many instances where the narrator, Tim O’Brien (not to be confused with the author), proves himself to be an extremely wolfly man through these stories. He illustrates, time and time again, his wolfly characteristics such as betrayal of his friends, manipulation of his readers’ emotions, and sheer fabrication of horrible stories.
The truth about wolf behavior as Mowatt interpreted it in his assignment to investigate a wolfs predator prey relationship. He himself called it a potboiler in the movie, He’s there to analyze and watch the wolfs. How and what they do in their side of the world as animals. His critics sneered at the depiction of wolves as fanciful, but whatever the book’s merit as a study of wolves, sold many copies, popularity and established The scientist Mowatt’s, reputation as a spokesman not only for wolves but also for nature in general.
As soon as day broke, Charity crawled out from under the wagon and headed to stoke up the fire, so she could make her coffee. She hadn’t gone ten feet when she comes face to face with an older Indian man. She let a small gasp escape, but other than that she was too stunned to even speak much less scream for help. He looked at her strangely, then turned, dropped down on all fours, and ran away, turning into a wolf as he went! For some reason, unknown even to her, in that moment, she yelled, "Come
The wolf was once a much slandered animal. In the western world, people feared and hated wolves, and this legacy is reflected in stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and The Boy Who Cried Wolf. In these popular children's tales the wolf is made out to be a prowler and a killer of livestock and people. There is some basis for The Boy Who Cried Wolf, for wolves have killed cattle and sheep. But what of Little Red Riding Hood? There are no records of wolves killing humans in Canada or the United States. Yet, when wolves were spotted near rural communities, fear used to grip the populace, but over time this has become less prevalent.
At home, the children were alone with one another. They heard a something slowly creeping towards them. It was the wolf. Not just any wolf, a wounded wolf. He looked at them with a terrible smile on his face. The children were in fear. Meanwhile, the mother creature was coming back from her various whereabouts. She heard cries from her children. As fast as she could, she ran there and saw the wolf mauling at her precious children. At this time, the children were already dead and there was blood dripping from around the wolf’s mouth. The wolf then ran away into the wilderness with the family’s
“Concentrate, Aiden!” He clapped his hands. “Please you really need to focus. This is important. Children have to be careful when they venture into the forest. There’s a pack of wild, voracious wolves with gaping mouths reeling with fangs and forked tongues each as thick as my wrist. They roam the woods, ten feet or more, and then hung in the trees, breathing raggedly tasting your scent, considering how best to devour you. As a matter of fact only, the other day several of them snatched a baby elf out of its sleeping mother’s arms and thrashed the poor little dear to pieces.
Three little pigs move around singing "Who's apprehensive about the enormous, awful wolf?" Little Red Riding Hood scarcely gets away from the guile advances of the avaricious wolf camouflaged as her grandma. Such myths and legends have depicted the wolf as a danger to human presence. Dreaded as inhumane executioners, they were abhorred and oppressed. Wolves were not only shot and murdered; they were tormented too. Persuaded that they were an issue to be explained, U.S. subjects bit by bit annihilated dim wolves from the lower 48 states over a time of 25 years.
The boys began to lose their innocence when they viciously slaughtered a mother pig. A few of the boys wanted to have a feast, so they found and killed a mother pig. “ The sow gave a gasping squeal and staggered up, with two spears sticking in her fat flank.” Proceeding the killing, the boy's cut off

The same moment I decided to quicken my speed, a deer burst through the night. I screamed, stumbled and hit the ground with a loud thump. I sat on the moist ground for a moment to try to recover but my heart began to throb as if it was beating within my throat. It was just a deer I told myself, I had to be brave. Trying to get myself together I began to feel this hot puffs of air on the back of my neck. “It’s the goblin!” I screamed as I rapidly rose to my feet. My head spun like an owl as I went to look for what was behind me. I looked to the ground and discovered a little white dog. “You scared me to death little guy. What is a cute little puppy like you doing in a dense forest like this?” I said to him. I was relieved it was only a dog instead of the ghastly goblin, but I only made it half-way home by then. As I proceeded on the white little dog followed me. I felt more at ease now that I had him following me but he would not be considered much of a watch dog to most
