Time is going by far too fast here in Washington D.C. I have come to love the work environment here at BHFS. It’s fast paced, high energy and most importantly different every day. I could highlight two things I will take away from this experience it will be 1) critical thinking 2) working on time sensitive projects. Allow me to further elaborate.
1) Critical thinking: as an intern I am asked to provide thorough research daily on potential clients, current clients and lost clients. Along with bills, amendments and anything you can think of when it comes to government affairs. There is no bounds when it comes to government affairs research, there is nobody holding my hand. I must have the awareness to know when I have provided enough research,
While at the hospital, the patient, was having excessively slow AV nodal conduction rates that unfortunately haven’t been recognized. He started on the prescribed antihypertensive drug (s). As soon as blood levels climb towards the usual therapeutic range the patient goes into complete heart block. Which of the following drugs most likely provoked this further prolongation of the P-R interval, ultimately leading to the complete heart
Self- esteem is used to describe a person's overall sense of self- worth or personal value.
While interning, I learned how to lead effectively by observing and regularly communicating with leaders in the FBI. I was able to use my critical analysis and writing skills to compose an official memo alongside an Intelligence Analyst, and create a safety procedure that is enforced across the North Alabama FBI offices. This taught me how to effectively communicate with different communities outside of my own.
The main point of Hydroxycut is to help loose weight in a fast amount of time just like every woman wants diamonds, I think that everyone wants that youthful looking body back as well. We all want the energy that we had as a youth and the metabolism as well so that we can eat whatever

My mother and I is quite similar to one another, except with connection. Mom likes to be surrounded by her family, close friends and dependent on others. The contrast, I am independent but I do like being close to my family and friends.
2. In the 21st century exposure to media is an everyday event for most of us. Even at the grocery store, we see magazines and newspapers with eye-catching headings that may not be true. Also, the news is everywhere, and with technology on the rise, we even get news alerts on our phones. The media has taken over society. Most of the stories we read about seem to be true but in reality, are they giving a true insight of what is actually happening? Some of the stories cause people to become blindfolded from reality. This is because the stories that people read or see have a profound impact on shaping our reality rather they are true or not. We see the news about events that are going on in the world; rather they are catastrophic events or devastating events that were done by humans.
Many people throughout the United States (US) have some form of chronic disease. Chronic diseases are conditions that are not passed from person to person (noncommunicable), have a long duration, are commonly slow in progression, and generally have no cure (World Health Organization (WHO), n.d.b). Currently, chronic diseases are the leading cause of disability and death in the US and about half of all adults have at least one chronic illness (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2016b). This means that nearly every person in the US will be affected by chronic conditions whether it be personally or through loved ones having these diseases. The most prevalent types of chronic
Hi Rikki, you did a really nice job organizing and answering this week’s discussion question. In your comment to my post you mention how you questioned your choice on which one you thought was most important. After reading what you had to say and how you thought the imaginary victim was the most important I would have to say I now agree with you. Originally I didn’t considered the imaginary victim to be one of the most important, but you made a good point saying that there is zero blame placed on the prosecuting party. Mendelsohn’s theory was definitely a major success for his times as you stated. I find it to be truly interesting that he was able to accomplish what he did simply because he was trying to properly represent his client
My response after reading the assigned articles is that I do feel like there is a positive relationship between the outcomes of patients who were provided care from nurses that were BSN prepared versus ASN prepared. Nurses who are BSN prepare develop a higher level of critical thinking, which is vital in promoting a more advanced level of patient care. Nurses also exhibiting a higher degree of critical thinking would be quicker to pick up on deteriorating patients, therefore would lead a decrease in hospital mortality rates. In addition, a nurse utilizing a higher degree of critical thinking would be quicker to initiate better patient care. I found that both of the studies provided similar evidence to support patients who are cared for
Our book teaches us that the Miranda warnings are required when a suspect is under custodial interrogation. That is, the suspect is both in custody and under interrogation. I’ve chosen to discuss one case that highlights the Court’s position on Miranda during the custody phase; another case that focuses on the interrogation phase; and a third case that carves out an exception to Miranda.
Humans in today's society are very interested in the supernatural. The supernatural can consist of ghosts, vampires, and even the devil. No one really knows if these supernatural things are real, but by reading Edgar Allan Poe’s work, he might just convince you to believe in them. To be specific, in “The Fall of the House of Usher” by Poe many people debate about the presence of supernatural beings. There are five sides to this debate, natural causes, the house and family have a bond, the house is haunted, the Usher family are vampires, and a chance that there is a physiological reason for all of the happenings in the Usher house.

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning When I read that quote, I think of being a determined person with self-confidence. At the beginning of my junior year in high school, I was given a personal quiz determining whether you are a “D”, “S”, “I” or “C”. the directions were to draw a circle, and to draw a vertical line. The top half was extrovert, and the bottom half was introvert. I shaded in the top half because I am very outgoing person. the next step was to draw a horizontal line. the right side was task, and the left side was people. I choose the left side because I can get things done the way things need to be done. when all
"It was a pig walking on his hind legs"(Orwell 132). "He carried a whip in his trotter"(Orwell 133). In the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell, animals have the ability to talk and form their own ethos, Animalism. Animal Farm is an intriguing allegory by George Orwell, who is also the author of 1984, includes many enjoyable elements. More knowledge of the author, his use of allegorical elements, themes, symbols, and the significance in the real world, allows the reader to get more out of this glance into the future.
