I'm typing the discussion as we speak, I have attached what I've done so far and wanted to make sure the level of depth is alright in terms of glucose. If this level of depth is fine I would like to transition into fats and proteins (all components of a healthy breakfast), showcasing how they are important to cognitive function as well. These would all correlate to the papers main hypothesis question and the results of breakfast versus GPA. For the results over what the subjects specific ate for breakfast ( proteins, fats or carbohydrates) versus GPA I wanted to tie all the previously stated information into how the body is able to convert different macronutrients into critical ones for example Acetyl- CoA can be converted Kreb cycle intermediates
Signpost: I have shown you the three main problems affecting children with food insecurity, and now I’ll present the three causes to these problems.
For my Davinci Day project I will be researching in order to answer the question of how do healthy foods impact people’s energy levels and productivity. In order to collect answers to this question, I will be analyzing facts and data from certain food and cooking sources online. Not only will I researching online, but my grandmother has several cooking and healthy food book and magazines that I’m planning to look into and take notes. For my interview, I will be either emailing or going to a local nutritionist to ask about their intake on the effects healthy foods have on us and our productivity daily. After I’ve gathered enough information, I will be cooking two recipes for lunch and two recipes for breakfast. One recipe for lunch will healthy
During my three-day food intake I learned about myself. There are many benefits of good nutrition. ”Medical Online” states “besides helping you maintain a healthy weight, good nutrition is essential for the body and all its system to function optimally for a lifetime.” A healthy diet promotes good sleep, gives the body what it needs to stay healthy, and provides energy. According to “Mealtime Memo” Good nutrition means getting the calories that we need for energy and the nutrients we need for proper growth. I’m learning that variety, balance, and moderation are the key to healthy nutrition. As I am learning what I should and should not eat I will like you to invite you to take a look at my food intake. This essay will converse about my
I have learned a lot from this two-day diet analysis assignment. In my two day assessment, I recorded my food intake, quantities, drinks, snacks, condiments, where and who I was with during the meal, the time of day, and the amount of time I spent eating. I was able to analyze my diet to examine what I was eating and what types of nutrients I was getting. I then compared all aspects with my recommended levels of nutrients for my dietary recommended intake. I learned that my eating habits are not the best and could lead to serious health problems in the future that may be detrimental.
2. During this portion of the assignment the parent/student will create a healthy meal with snacks using the food pyramid, giving one or more example why it is a healthy choice or not a healthy choice.
The first part of the report I would like to examine is the different food groups taken into my diet over the past four days. There are five major food groups which make up the dietary requirements of the body: Dairy, Grain, Fruits, Vegetables, and proteins. Each brings an essential source of nutrients to the body, which allows the body to function at a normal level of homeostasis. I noticed ever since I have fractured my back there has been a dramatic change in my diet, and physical activity level. Overall, I take in less than the recommended amount of calories of 2000 per day. I on average exceed the amount of fruits needed in a day, hit the level for protein, and dairy, but failed to meet the allocated portion of vegetables everyday. An alarming part of diet that I noticed was I exceeded my sodium intake everyday. This could be attributed to the fact of the
To determine if 20-30% of participant ate three or more healthy breakfast for 16 weeks, participants will be asked to download an application (app). The app will ask them if they consumed a well-balanced breakfast as presented to them during the workshop, and as shown on the pamphlet of magnet. They are to click “yes” or “no.” This outcome will also be measured by administering a post survey questionnaire, the same one that was give prior to the start of the study. Extra attention will be focused on breakfast foods consumed. All data from this study will be collected and analyzed by statisticians. R (version 3.3.2) will be used for all data
Having coffee has become a common culture for college students around the globe. Various coffee shops are present and thriving on many college campuses aiding in the consumption of coffee. This study will focus on the connection of GPA with coffee consumption. Specifically focusing on three subcategories that include grade level, consumption level, and also the individual’s gender. The hypothesis overall is that people who are coffee consumers would have a higher GPA than people who are non-consumers for numerous explanations. Also, it is assumed that the research will show that coffee consumption would increase as the number of years the individual is in school increases, and that one gender over the other will have a higher level of consumption as well as higher overall GPA. This would be analyzed through a conduction of interviews of students on the Northern Michigan University’s campus concerning their coffee consumption. In addition to this, an online survey of NMU student’s for gathering information about their demographics, coffee consumption, reasons why they drink, and their view of how coffee has assisted or worsened their academics. Using these two sources of information, you would be able to draw conclusions from the interviews about coffee 's relationship with GPA and then see if the results of the survey supported the information.

Since we have been learning about nutrition in class, our task was to record a food log. Nutrition requires a well-balanced diet containing nutrient and vitamins like amino acids and fatty acids. Over the past seven days I have been recording and have been looking very carefully at my intake of nutrients, minerals, vitamins, and fats. In our task, the objective was to record the basic foods we ate during the period of seven, but it did not require recording every single detail or our intake of food. Doing this food log was a pain and it was disturbing because I never wrote about what I ate like breakfast, lunch, dinner, or additional meals. I found this food log useful because it helped me learn what I
As scholars are constantly reminded to eat a healthy portion of breakfast before testing, most scholars find themselves wondering, “Would eating breakfast really improve my performance?” According to many psychologists, consuming breakfast may have benefits in performance, but to an extent. However, some have also deduced that breakfasts may also harm the performance of scholars. Nonetheless, scholars who eat a healthy breakfast seem to have higher energy levels and ability than those who did not because of the nutrients consumed and absorbed by the body and mind. Consuming breakfasts would have beneficial effects on learning, to an extent; however, the different types of breakfasts could also have detrimental effects as well. The goal of this research is to determine not if breakfasts improve academic performance, but by how much? In addition, to the fact that there are possible “side effects” to this method of improvement, which leads to ask, are all breakfasts healthy? Scholars eating breakfast in order to improve performance may be possible for academic performance. However, if scholars believe and reason over the fact that eating breakfast does improve academic performance, then the effects of school behavior would be tested. Consuming a breakfast does provide nutrients for the body and mind. However, the nutrients provided could only benefit the body and mind to such a limit. Then, there is also the
Course Learning Objectives: In Nutrition, we explore the ever-evolving science of nutrition. Human nutrition is influenced by endogenous and exogenous factors. We will discuss related topics such as stress, environment, food processing, digestion, safety, and

At its conception my question concerned, which foods were best for cognitive function; however, after noticing how much I missed breakfast in my log sheet, I realized that I should concentrate on
Breakfast is a universal concept that almost everyone could relate to and understand what it is. The only real debate with breakfast is what is being eaten the table on the table. There are differences between different cultures, generation and individuals in general. My family has completely different breakfast habits and it proves that everyone has a different habit and likes different things. There is a huge difference between what I eat/don’t eat and what my grandma eats. In the end, breakfast is a universal concept that differs between generation, your location, and circumstances of the person.
