The simulation is useful because it evaluates project performance using real criteria, such as the scope, schedule and
I felt that Simulation lab was a great advantage for us as nursing students. We were able to have a client that was actually able to respond to our actions and questions as if in a real scenario, and yet, we were still in a safe environment where we could make mistakes and learn from them. I feel it was extremely beneficial to able to provide professional criticism because it allowed the observers to critically think about what should be done next in regards to the patients care and also have the participants to learn what they could improve in regards to their patient care. The simulation lab was able to give us insight into a realistic situation and therefore we were able to see how we would react and think in that type of situation. I
However, one of the flaws of a well-developed HIL simulation is the amount of space needed for the computer components of the simulator. A smaller and easily transportable alternative was created to cope with this issue. Portable HIL was
As a provider, one will care for many patients that have different types of anemia. Anemia is not so much as a disease as a symptom of an underlying issue. Although there can be particular signs and symptoms associated with anemia, the basis of a diagnosis is from laboratory data. For the purpose of this discussion, I will evaluate a case study and give a differential diagnosis. I will also assess how patient history, physical exam, and lab reports support my diagnosis. I will explain the pathophysiology of the type of anemia and give causes and treatment options available.
Simulation is a computer process that gives a probable NPV or IRR for a project. All factors that affect the project’s returns are input. The computer then randomly selects one observation from each category. All of the observations are combined and the NPV or IRR is calculated from those figures. Simulation gives a range of outcomes as well as the probability of the outcomes. It provides the total risk level of a project.
Simulation based learning develops skills, knowledge, and attitudes in staff that otherwise cannot be experienced. The staff are put in the client’s position and give them a better understanding of daily struggles. Also puts the focus on the client instead of task completion. 14
Costs: Experimenting in real life is costly. It’s not only the capital expenditure of hiring new staff or purchasing new equipment but also the cost of the ramifications of these decisions. For instance, if you fire 3-staff members and then find it difficult to cope with the workload, you may probably lose customers while the only cost with simulation is the software and the man hours to build it.
When my group and I got a chance to talk about the simulation and how we can relate it to someone in Greensboro, we initially thought how hard it is to get from one place to another. We imagined just walking to the Friendly Center from campus to Harris Teeter for groceries then back home. All of us would try to call up a friend or relative to come pick us up. Whereas people walk that much, even more every day because they cannot spare $1.25 for a bus
Do I need to submit GRBA 098 (MBA assessment) and the application for graduation that requires $25 on MyRed in order to graduate in May, 2017?
I spoke with LCDR Britt and LCDR Roosman on yesterday evening IRT to 14 Enlisted billets that fail to load because the Rating “ANY” does not exist in RCRP. USFF drive the requirements that are received by the MOB order writers. There are instances when there are no requirement for a specific rate (ANY), however there is a paygrade requirement. When this happens, the MOB order writers tag “ANY” in the drop down rate column and tag the required Paygrade in the drop down paygrade column. Essentially, the business rules for the MOB order writers are to populate the system with requirements received by USFF. LCDR Britt is further investigating on his end.
I wasn't particularly skilled in any of the flight simulation games I attempted, I did find them quite enjoyable. The thrill of finally pulling off a successful plane landing (even in a virtual world) ... is indescribable, especially after a multitude of failed attempts. I hope to have a similar experience with Delta's more realistic simulation, and possibly in real life one day.
Currently a Quintiplex is rented at cost of $9,000 per month at the JM Williamson Battery. The installation of an H-Pump would eliminate future rental cost.
The issues inherent in the simulation are not textbook problems or questions in which answers are cut and dried and determined quickly.
Another potential flaw is the difficulty for the rater to score all characteristics at once. Since there is only one predictor used, all characteristics must be scored correctly during the duration of this simulation. I had to take into account that the rater must be extremely well trained. In addition, to protect against rater errors, there would need to be multiple raters. This can be time consuming and expensive to train all the raters.
Addressing two communities with one workshop have the potential of illustrating the inherent challenges of producing guidelines for the “engineering community” as whole, which is so diverse. One important outcome could be to ascertain whether there are opportunities to develop standards that are common across fields, or not. What constitutes data in one field versus another is also an important question that needs to be answered before strategies for curation and storage are developed. For example, for data object identifiers (DOI) to be useful, one needs to develop classifications of data. Are samples included in data? Are the parameters of a simulation part of the “data” that needs to be public? What about the simulation results alone? These are but few of the questions that can only be answered by having this type of focused workshop.
