Dogs are cute animals. Even though some people think bringing dogs to workplaces is not a problem at all, I think it is. I think bringing dog to workplace could cause distraction for the employees, and disrespectifull for others. First reason why Im against of bringing dogs to work is because It may cause distraction for the employees. Dogs are always active, which is mean a lot of energy. They want to play most of the time, and go everywhere. For example, walking between leggs, jumbing infront of people and laying down on disks is unconfortable for some people. Not only that, "some dogs bark at the slightest noise, and other chew, whine, nip, and jump on people." Its not good for the company to have situation like that. Another reason
I, along with the author of, "Against Bringing Dogs to Work," believe that dogs should not be allowed in the workplace because they can be a distraction or harm other employees or property.
Deciding whether or not I should agree with dogs being allowed in our work place was very tricky for me. I appreciate your desire to make sure every employee feels comfortable and stress-free at work. Also, I adore dogs and would love to able to have my furry-friend alongside me all day long. However, after looking at the pro's and con's, I'd have to say I do not agree with this idea.
I believe that if dogs were to be allowed into the workplace it would create a huge liability for the company as well as the owner. In the Against Bringing Dogs to Work opinion letter they state that many Americans are allergic to dogs and some people are even affraid of dogs due to previous negative encounters with them.
I do not think the bring your dog to work Program is such a good idea. I will explain several reasons i do not agree with this program, even if the program is a great idea it does not mean it is good for the company or employees.
With that being said, dogs can be a big hazard. There are a number of possibilities on how a dog could cause our workplace to be harmful. If not well trained they could have the potential to bite, jump all over people, lay where it could cause someone to trip or even act wild here being a different environment. This could lower our employees safety rates and cause us potential lawsuits. A lawsuit could also cause two coworkers to not get along leading to stress between them and those around them.
Although, alot of people might be against the idea of bringing your dog to work, I am someone who own's two dogs, and the idea of them being home all day while I'm at work for 8 hours or so, not only does it stress me out, I know it stresses them out too. While I know my puppies are home by themselfs it makes me, in my opinion, distracted more than I would be if we were allowed to bring our dogs to work with us. It bothers me knowing I have to worry about them being home alone. Knowing i can't care for them while I'm working.
Dogs are man's best friend. But that doesn't mean that they belong in the workplace. Dogs make noise and are distracting. Not everybody likes dogs. Plus they need to be fed, watered and taken out throughout the day. But dogs can be well behaved.
I think that dogs should not be aloud at the workplace for a few reasons. One its very unsanitary, not all dogs are properly trained and could go to the bathroom at any point they feel like it. Also dogs are for the most part aggresive and territorial, granted some aren't like this but a lot of dogs are. So if you have a lot of dogs in an office area there could be a lot of barking and growling which would cause distraction throughout the work day. Another reason I think this isn't a good idea is because workers who do bring pets in will have to always be paying attention to their animal, as well as their tasks at work and productivity will more than likely go down. Lastly I think that it's a bad idea to bring on thiss policy because there
If dogs dont interact with other dogs and other people they will never get comfortable around them or just have a hard time. Having a dog park would eliminate this entirely. With the amount of residents in a city im sure a few of them own a dog they would like to enteract with in a fun way. Now with no leash plolicies dog bites have dropped significantly, so no harm no foul.
Passage one states the many benefits that bringing dogs to work can have, however this assumes that all employees are comfortable around dogs. This passage doesn't factor in the side of employees who are not comfortable being around dogs, or may be allergic to them. Although studies have proven that having dogs present reduces stress and increases job satisfaction, this may only be the case for some. A majority of Americans report to be allergic to dogs to some extent, from just a minor sniffle to an actual allergic reaction. This can cause issues in the work place and can overall decrease productivity and job satisfaction, along with introducing health risks in the work place, making it unsafe.
Should Just Service Dogs Go To Public Places With Their Owner Or Should Other Animals Go Public Places
In conclusion, I heavenly disagree to Bring Your Dog to Work Program, due to it effecting workers' comfort, health safety, and company profits. Many people have issues with dogs, such as being anxious with them around because of past experiences. By dogs being unsanitary at work it may cause employees to use more sick days than usual. Furthermore, ill-behave dogs can affect the companies profits due to
In Support of bringing dogs to work, i do not agree because dogs can be messy, also some people dont like don't like dogs, and most people are allergic.
The first reason I think it is a bad idea is that some people do not like dogs. Your co-workers may be allergic to them. Also you may have a co-worker that is scared of dogs. Companies are liable if the dog was to be alloud at the work place. One example would be if one of the dogs bite your co-worker, or another dog then the company could be sued by the person who was bitten or the other dogs owner.
Bringing a dog to work might sound fun and relaxing, but there is also some disadvantages of having your dog at work. Yes, they may be cute, but they can easily distract you and others. Some people might even be allergic. Most dogs need an environment that has open space and roaming room, not some closed office. Taking your dog to work might be fun and all, but can be very complicated.
