Imperialism for the British and other countries were on a rise during this time. Most of Africa was imperialized and it was time to imperialize other parts of land in the Middle East and Asia. The total imperialization of Muslim lands in the Middle East provided a short cut to get to the eastern part of Asia. This little water pathway is called the Suez Canal and the British took over this area from the Ottomans. This provided a direct target for imperialism in India for the British. India became the “Jewel in the Crown” for the fellow British people. Due to British imperialism in India brought positive aspects of earnings of natural and raw resources, and controlled trade in India, and proved the superiority of the White race for Great Britian. India was able to modernize, British protection from outside threats, and literarcy and public health improved also. British Imperialism in India also brought negative aspects of revolts and rebellions from India for Great Britian. India’s industries crumbled and Indian tradition life was restricted. British imperialism affected the positive prospects of earnings of natural and raw resources, the controlled trade in India, and provement of the superiority of the white race for Great Britian. India modernized their country, gained protection form Great Britian, and literarcy and public health prospered as well.
