Brown, Michael known as a “gentle giant” by his mother, was shot up to 8 times for simply not walking on the sidewalk. The police officer stopped Michael and his friend Johnson as they were walking to Harris’ house when a police officer yelled for them to “Get the f*** on the sidewalk.” The entire dispute could have been avoided by not harassing them, as they were not harming anybody, however the police officer felt the need to force them onto the sidewalk. The officer, who has yet to be named, drove forward and then stopped and backed up, almost hitting the pair of boys. Even the chief couldn’t explain this. Why would Brown attack the police officer for no reason and then run away, why would the officer shoot up to 11 times if it was only self-defense, a simple wound would have worked just fine yet the officer felt the need to recklessly shoot numerous times. Crenshaw, who was watching from a nearby balcony, says “The officer actually shot kind of carelessly. They shot my neighbors building that was on the opposite side of the police car. They then later came and removed the bullet… anybody could have been standing right there.” His actions were careless and inconsiderate to the consequences. All of the witnesses’ stories add up, Crenshaw, Johnson, and Mitchell all say that the young man was surrendering and the officer was not being careful or thinking about where the bullets could end up. So if Brown was attacking the anonymous police officer why was Brown so far away, why did he get shot so many times, and why was every single casing that was found at the scene from the officers weapon. Brown was unarmed, and had no reason to be motivated to harm the armed officer. The entire story is
