Life involves many hardships that may seem impossible to overcome, but with the right amount of strength, one can move beyond the wall of struggle, pain, hate, depression, and any set back. Many can relate to the events in this book because it was written by a normal person, living a normal life, who faced many problems just like any human being, yet, these struggles relate just as much to various theories. Some experiences in Buck come from the negative representation of woman, oppression of Malo, Amina, and Uzi, and Afrocentricity of Chaka. By observing this, M.K. Asante’s book, Buck, can be viewed through a Feminism, Marxism, and New Historicism theoretical lens.

I liked chapter 7 of Call of the wild because,Buck starts to act like a wolf. And Buck is strong as could be. Plus Buck is a very smart animal for a dog. Also I think Buck is a very great dog so far that I have read about him. And that Buck is learning how to be a wolf like he always wanted to be.

This is a paragraph about my most liked parts and most disliked parts in Call of the Wild. I really liked when Buck took control over Spitz when they were fighting and gained the leadership. I also really liked that Buck was reunited with is wild brother at the end. What I really disliked is that they had John Thornton killed; he could have just went home and left buck in the Klondike for that’s where his heart belonged. I also really disliked that they didn’t have Charlie in the book, even though he was in the movie. And if I could change anything out of the book I would most likely have Spitz come back for revenge because he escaped from the huskies and recovered. That’s it for my most liked and disliked parts, and also what I would change if I could change something, all in the Call of the Wild book.
According to the book, Call of The Wild, Buck is crushed, ripped up, and tortured which causes a lot of weakening and is rough to fight through it which after, the results will

The connection between this theme and natural selection is that if you are not able to adapt or suited for a certain task, you will fail. If Buck had not adapted and learned how to a sled dog, he would have most likely of died. When it says "only the strongest survive" it means that if you are not prepared or are weak, you will die first.
