OUR STORY -
The Buckeye State Building and Loan Company was built in 1895, in the height of the building frenzy. It specialized in real estate mortgage loans for town and farm properties. Its prior locations included 101 N. High Street (1895) and 22 W. Gay Street (1899). But, it ultimately selected a new location to build in 1926, the site at 36 E. Gay Street. The contractor Robert Evans and the architecture firm Hopkins and Dentz of New York City designed Buckeye State Building and Loan Company in the classical revival style.
The building served as the main banking headquarters for the Buckeye State Building and Loan Company (after 1949 as the Buckeye Federal Savings and Loan Association) from 1927 to 1990 it was the largest savings and

Just like he building’s details and craftsmanship has withstood the test of time, the bourbon industry isn’t going anywhere. Concord Hospitality realized the benefits of the growing global thirst for bourbon. The industry is filling more and more barrels, creating more good-paying jobs, generating more tax revenue and attracting more tourists to local distilling communities.

The Ohio statehouse had multiple people contribute to its construction; there were numerous architects and several others. In 1838 there was a design competition held by the government to decide how the building would be built. Many entries were received from the public around the county, and most were either architects or artists. The winner was Henry Walter from Cincinnati while second place went to Martin E. Thompson from New York and third place went to Thomas Cole who was a landscape painter. The design of the statehouse was centered around all three of the winners, and Alexander Jackson Davis, an architectural consultant, drew the design. The construction of the statehouse began on July 4, 1839, and 22 years later the structure was completed in 1861.
The insurance policy issued to hunt did cover fire damage, as most builders risk policies due; however, it also covered almost every other kind of damage that a construction company might encounter as well, and Hunts damages were mostly caused due to water damage. In order for Allianz to call the builders risk policy a fire insurance policy, and subject the policy to have the Plaintiff seek indemnification that was not caused by fire or means covered in a “fire insurance policy”, there are several ramifications involved.

Rd 145 soon became an integral part of everyday life in Birdseye, Indiana. Home to multiple general stores, a variety of hometown restaurants, and a hall for the Modern Woodmen of America (Huff 1), this edifice served as a gathering place for all residents, past and present, throughout its 123 year lifetime. Now nearing the end of its lifecycle once again, this unique building awaits the chance to undergo an extensive restoration to reveal its former grandeur, because as Helmut Jahn once said, “Every building is a prototype. No two are alike,” (Demakis 12). Preserving this crumbling Italianate gem will not only provide a cultural hotspot for the town of Birdseye; it will give residents the opportunity to learn about the structure’s illustrious past and the history of the town itself while also telling the stories of many past residents and the challenges they

People drive past El Paso High School every day and never bother to admire the beautiful architecture of the 100-year-old building that towers above them. I’ve always thought it was a striking building but, like many other El Pasoans, had no idea about the history behind why it was built the way it was. A couple of books and a nice long look at the school, I now have a better understanding and appreciation for Henry Trost’s marvelous works. Geoffrey Wright, an El Paso architect, describes Henry Trost’s grand design of El Paso High School as a “renaissance revival” in a 1991 article in the Austin American-Statesman, which wasn’t entirely accurate. Although he was inaccurate in this remark, he made another observation that was spot-on,
While in England Molson bought brewery equipment. Molson induced he growth of barely in and around Quebec, by selling the farmers the seeds and agreeing to purchase the barley after it had ben harvested. Molson dedicated 20 yeas of his life to his business. Molson was smart, he stayed away from the import export business, it took much to long to get a return on your investment for Molsons liking, if you received a return at all because of the high risk business. In addition to seeing the danger in the import export business, Molson could tell that the money in the fur fade was coming to an end. Therefore staying away from it. As Molson predicted the fur trade ended, and in the early 19th century it switched to the lumber business. With time comes new technology, and this was a field that Molson was highly interested in and would later invest large amounts of money into. After receiving 10,000£ and his old family home, Snake Hall, Molson sold the home as it was back in England. All the money Molson had received went back into enlarging his facilities and reinvesting in his brewing establishment. With an influx of loyalist immigration from both England and the soon to be United States of America, the demand for beer increased, even the French, who had never taken a liking to Molsons product were showing an increased interest in it. Molsons money was always on the for front of technology. With steam being the new energy source of the time, Molson was very interested. Molson invested money in the testing of new
Columbus, Ohio is a well-known capital city often frequented by eager tourist or rival spectators who become entranced in the overwhelming atmosphere often associated with the Ohio State Buckeyes; the 2015 nationally undisputed college football champions. Also, Columbus is home to the other easily recognized sports teams, restaurants, and other points of interest, such as: the Columbus Blue Jackets, Franklin Park Conservatory, and Thurman’s Grill just to name a few. Naturally, Columbus, Ohio would appear to be a desired utopia to visit, if not build a life filled with children and white picket fences. However, every beautiful rose has the thorn in the stem. Unfortunately, the image of a prosperous and safe community is being destroyed by

Truly an American legend, Jim Beam (hereinafter alternatively "Beam" or "the company") bourbons date back to the late 1700s, and have been characterized as "Kentucky tea" by the company's own master distiller, Booker Noe (Copley 132). The company's products are aged in charred oak barrels that produce the distinctive amber color and flavor (Copley 132). In 1795, Jacob Beam sold the first barrel of
As part of the festivities, a firkin of the Farmhouse Ale was tapped by Carnival Vice President of Beverage Operations Edward Allen. Out of the four, the Farmhouse was my favorite. It had just enough barnyard funk to keep me coming back for more. The malts for the Smoked Porter are smoked on-board using the ships smoker. The smoke wasn’t overpowering and I think it will pair nicely with the smoked BBQ. The West Coast IPA is hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, and Centennial hops. While the aroma and taste of pine and citrus begin to blast your senses it finishes with a malty backbone. The refreshing Toasted Amber Ale gives off notes of lite caramel and biscuity malts. I’m sure all four offerings will be welcomed with open arms aboard the Horizon. While they are all tasty in their own right, I think the flavor profile was dialed back a touch to appeal to a wider audience. Craft beer drinkers will be able to appreciate each beer while folks new to craft will also be able to enjoy a freshly brewed craft beer with their BBQ
