In 2014, Cleveland Indians had to drop their Chief Wahoo logo and reduce the visibility of the logo even though the Indians had the fundamental right of the First Amendment to capitalize on the name. The Indians decided to switch to a block “C” on their shirts, but a small logo, depicting a red-faced cartoon with a feather headband still appeared on some team caps and jerseys. On October 17th 2016 Douglas Cardinal, an indigenous rights activist, filed a case to bar the Cleveland Indians from using their name and especially their Chief Wahoo logo during a play-off game which was going be held in Toronto, Canada. However, Cardinal’s lawyers also wanted to bar the use of the name and logo by both the Major League Baseball and by Rogers Communications,
One of the New York based Milton Glaser’s most famous design pieces is his ‘I (heart) New York’ logo came at a difficult time for the city. I believe that Young Living in this ad uses Logo’s by claiming their products are “trusted,” and most people would like to think that the natural solution is better in the long term than pharmaceutical products. We are seeing a huge switch in people views with pharmaceuticals and leaning more on a natural solution. In the case it is essential oils. They use Pathos by stating these products are for the ones that “trust you,” suggesting your family and friends, while having a picture of a mother and daughter in the setting of a home. I don’t think there is a better marketing tactic than to target your family and to give them a way to live better. They also use big bold blue letters for this ad. I think blue suggests a soothing and trusting emotion

The essay “Sports Logos an Insult to Aboriginals” is written by the late Noah Augustine. This essay is written in his point of view and it’s based on his opinion of why he thinks that big money sports teams shouldn’t be using the Aboriginals culture or religious symbols to represent a certain sports team. The author thinks that it’s an insult to his people, his culture being Aboriginal himself, he states in his essay his is preferred to be known as (Mi’kamq) rather than Indian. He directly states that using religious symbols as caricatures for the sports team is offensive to his cultural beliefs. In the essay he states that not all people understand why using these spiritual leaders as a sport logo is offensive. The thesis of the essay can be found in the second paragraph of the essay when he states that by using the images that sports teams use is insulting to most Aboriginal people.

In Theodora Jankowski’s journal “Defining/Confining the Duchess: Negotiating the Female Body in John Webster’s The Duchess of Malfi”, she analyzes the Duchess’ ability to challenge the views of the Jacobean society regarding women and their various roles even though the Duchess herself was not able to successfully combine her own diverse roles. Jankowski prefaces the journal with the fact that the many contradictions throughout the play can make it difficult to analyze at times, but allow for various interpretations of the scenes and issues at hand. The journal, which can be found on Academic Search Complete, employs the use of logos, scholarly conversation, and methodical organization in order to exemplify how the Duchess shatters the ceiling
In order to give Timber Shave Club a hip and edgy business card to match the logo design, I decided to go with my new logo’s green color as the background instead of a plain white background and I made “Timber Shave Club” white. By using a solid color as the background I am able to keep the business card from looking too busy, yet still eyecatching. I wanted the logo to be the main focus of the card. In order to do so I went with a smaller sized text for the information text on the card. However, to keep the text noticeable and different from the small text on the logo, I made it a semibold to create some contrast. Finally, I added a thin white border to bring everything together and create some balance.
In addition to those two uniforms, there will be two more uniform sets released in the upcoming months. The last two uniforms will be community inspired and based NBA players' mindsets.

In the designed logo, it focuses on the phrase ‘Dignity’ which is an aspect that every teacher should value and contribute to their teaching and learning practice. The demonstration of “logos” in the article written by the company brookings comes out on top with the way they are able to use statistics. They use statistics overall quite more frequently than the article done in the new york times. They also appear to have more case studies, where they bring up situations that had shown and then spoke about them giving reason and explanations on why and what could have been done to prevent the scenarios. With brookings it's clear how they can point out causes of events that led up to specific issues and explain not only the primary effect of that issue but also show you how it ripples through out even after it's Done. With that being said There are few areas that they do fall short in such as authority
A creative photo of Dettol contains health, educational, and social reasons. In view of this photo, a shirt and a watch represent cleanliness because of the tight shirt and the metal watch. For instance, if a person is not clean, the person gets negative perception from the society. In advertisement of Dettol, the photo has pen, key, mouse, hamburger, telephone, and doorknob with dirt. For instance, in one day, people encounter with germs
