The way to build a good relationship with your family is to trust them and learn how to accept what they have to say in order to gain their trust. Family relationships are important because it plays a crucial role in instilling values and teaching responsibilities. Children who grow up in healthy families can create better relationships outside their families. Good relationships also help in solving misunderstandings in the family, thus creating a stable unity. Healthy relationships help family members to have good communication and positive connection within the family. Creating time for family and supporting each other helps in creating strong family relationships. Family relationships was the main theme in the four texts that i have read/watched: Secrets and Lies, The Castle, Good Will Hunting and Not without my Daughter. This has influenced a number of authors to write and directors to direct or make a film about this certain topic because it focuses on the family itself which can have an impact on the audience who may be experiencing this kind of problem in the text. This is shown in the four texts that I have studied: Secrets and Lies, The Castle, Good Will Hunting and Not Without my Daughter. These texts were influenced by family problems and secrets within our daily lives.
