Building vs. buying a computer can be a very hard choice. Most people have no idea on how to build a computer so they choose to buy one, but is this the right answer? This topic is very hard to answer in which is better to do, and which is more cost effective. When building a computer, what are some of the challenges you might face in gathering needed information, assembling the computer, and supporting the system after assembly? This question is very easy to answer because it covers the main part of the computer building process. In most computer building cases, it is always best to research, research, research. Using the internet is your best way to find out a lot of the info you need to know like: how many GB’s of RAM do I need to make the best gaming PC, Or how many case fans do I need to keep my PC cool. Another thing that is beneficial to look at is the details about certain components, because some if not all of them will tell you what they are compatible with and how many watts they use.

One of the problems with buying a computer is that when you buy one it is pre built, and all of the components are chosen for you. If you want to upgrade a prebuilt computer you have to send it into the manufacturer to change out certain components, or if it is broken the company has to send out a tech. to work on it. This can take away time for the user to work with it. The last problem with buying a computer is that there is a lot of hype about the newest and best computer. This creates a problem because you may just buy the PC without knowing much about it, and you just buy it to have the best out there even though it may be worse than building your
