This topic is very hard to answer in which is better to do, and which is more cost effective. When building a computer, what are some of the challenges you might face in gathering needed information, assembling the computer, and supporting the system after assembly? This question is very easy to answer because it covers the main part of the computer building process. In most computer building cases, it is always best to research, research, research. Using the internet is your best way to find out a lot of the info you need to know like: how many GB’s of RAM do I need to make the best gaming PC, Or how many case fans do I need to keep my PC cool. Another thing that is beneficial to look at is the details about certain components, because some if not all of them will tell you what they are compatible with and how many watts they use.

One of the problems with buying a computer is that when you buy one it is pre built, and all of the components are chosen for you. If you want to upgrade a prebuilt computer you have to send it into the manufacturer to change out certain components, or if it is broken the company has to send out a tech. to work on it. This can take away time for the user to work with it. The last problem with buying a computer is that there is a lot of hype about the newest and best computer. This creates a problem because you may just buy the PC without knowing much about it, and you just buy it to have the best out there even though it may be worse than building your
When building a pc, one needs to consider what they are going to use the PC for. For a college student, some uses of a desktop pc could consist of gaming, video editing, and running software. All three of these rely on each part of the computer to perform the task. One component used heavily in all three of the tasks is the CPU (Central Processing Unit). The CPU is a piece of computer hardware that
According to Brian Benton, a IT director/chief engineering technician, one of the reason to build a computer it’s because “It’s much easier to get exactly what you want”
Every fully functioning computer is made of the same basic components and here I’ll walk through the basic hardware you'll need for your first build. There are several components a computer. However, it’s important to first understand what each component does.

Small businesses typically don’t need much more than personal computers, and often find that having a local retailer that can also assist with issues that may arise, which makes it a value added purchase.

When making majority of my purchases I do research on the item and analyze all the reviews that are left from customers that have already purchased the item. The last personal electronic that I purchased was my Apple MacBook. The decision-making complexity was not a major issue when making this purchase. I have owned many laptops and they all seemed to have last for about three to four years. My wife has owned her MacBook for almost ten years and has never had an issue. I knew I was going to buy a MacBook and all the different specs that I could choose from never really made a difference. The individual influence from my wife played a major role in this purchase. She has never had any problems with her MacBook and pushed that I make the same purchase for my next computer. The social influence was not a major factor in the decision to make the purchase as many of my friends did not own a MacBook. The situational influence played two major factors against the purchase of the MacBook. The software that a MacBook uses is different from Windows that majority of computers use.
Building a high end pc is cheaper than buying a prebuilt pc in many ways beside time (Hale). This is the number one reason why most people build their own computer besides customization. The reason it is cheaper than buying is you
Central Idea: The steps involved in assembling a computer are, preparing for assembly, building the platform, installing the motherboard and power supply, and finally installing cables, cards, and drives.
The first portion of the computer build for either casual or hardcore, is the CPU. There are two major companies to pick from, Intel and AMD.The only difference in the two is the compatibility with certain motherboards. Whichever is picked, Intel or AMD, will help narrow the decisions on the motherboard, which will in turn help figure out the RAM needed. After the decision has been made of one company or the other, the next step is to pick which CPU from either company is the right one for the builder. Intel has the new
Are you tired of paying hundreds or thousands of dollars to a company for a computer that gives a below average experience? Well, why not build your own computer? This might sound like a crazy idea, but once you understand the principles, it's a piece of cake and you will probably end up saving 100 or 200 dollars from buying the same thing from a well-known company. You might be asking yourself, "How on earth am I supposed to build a computer? Where will I obtain the parts?". Well, don't worry, because this guide is everything you need from sourcing the parts to booting up your own functional computer. My research question is ‘How can I build a mid-tower gaming computer for less than a thousand dollars?’ I choose this question because I love computers and tinkering around with them. There are always plenty of options in the tech stores for normal budget desktops and laptops. Gaming computers however do not have such a large selection and the prices are an eye widener. My specific use for the research project computer build is to be very capable at playing games and doing everything else at less than $1000. I choose this budget because for a modern high-end computer it is a very reasonable number and the high-end performance of the parts means that it will last longer than a mid-spec or low end that you can buy from the large chain
