Business Degree

Completing my Bachelor’s degree will strengthen my skillset and help me become a more valuable employee. I am looking forward to the upcoming business courses so I can continue learning more about different conceptual strategies and theories that I can apply to my workplace. My organization is excited that I have decided to pursue my degree and is completely supportive.

Deciding to go to college can be a hard choice. College is not meant for everyone but it can be very helpful when it comes to finding a good job. Although not all degrees can be helpful, a business degree allows good job opportunities. The University of New Mexico believes that “Business, Finance and Economic employment rates are the fastest growing in the nation and by majoring in one of these fields at UNM, you will surely have a successful future.” For those who are not made for college, it is possible to start a businesses from the ground up. Both of these choices have their pros and cons.

Business is a growing major and currently the most common major among college students. Being a business major at a liberal arts college is underappreciated amongst the students because they see courses as unnecessary towards their future careers. The question of “what a college education should provide” arises. Education is important but it is also important to learn how survive in the world and contribute to it. Business majors are growing meaning the requirements in a business are growing as well. It takes more than knowing how to do your job in todays society, you have to be able to stand out. The world is challenging and simply knowing the basis of business no longer cuts it because education is tied together as one. Furthermore, a liberal arts education provides the necessities needed for a successful year.

Having a liberal arts education is very beneficial to owning your own business. By having a liberal arts education you learn many skills like the ability to think for yourself, also skills to communicate effectively, problem-solving and pattern intelligence skills. All these skills reflect on having your own business because you have to know what you are doing, knowing what people want, also knowing how to communicate with people and knowing how to manage your time efficiently. If you want to be an entrepreneur CEO'S really recommended on going to college to get a liberal arts degree because it’s not just learning about business, you learn and get the bigger picture about how things work in general.

However, there are many more jobs available with greater pay and salary with a bachelor’s degree. Most jobs in this pathway involve excessive training to become sufficient at the job. I am planning to get my associate’s degree at Tri-County Community College. As long as I stick with my classes and full-time student schedule, I am aiming on to haveing my associate’s degree in two years. Once I have received my associatesassociate’s degree, I plan on going on to a university to continue with my education and earn my bachelor’s degree. I have not decided for sure exactly where I would like to go to earn my bachelor’s degree;, however, I will be deciding and giving it much thought over the next two years. My top choices for right now include Western Carolina University and Piedmont College. I also have have also found after some research that a Bbachelor’s Business degree i n business can also be earned online;, therefore, I may be taking a look at the an online program as well. I am interested in pursuing a degree in business because there are a variety of job opportunities within the field. My parents also owned their own business, which was the main reason I wanted to pursue a business degree. I was inspired by their work ethics, and how they overcame their struggles and obtained success within their business and recognition in society. Originally, my major was in management. However, I have recently become more interested in an ISOM major after attending an Ask the Professionals event. This is because ISOM combines both business skills and IT skills to give you a unique skill set that is highly sought after in the current job market. My ideal job upon graduation would be working in a company like Freddie Mac where I can utilize my knowledge and work within a team setting.

There are quite a few degrees to have that could benefit me in the long run. Some degrees that can help me would be an English, writing, accounting, finance, communication, computer engineering, and philosophy. There are endless degrees that could help me, but these are the most important ones. One way all the degrees help is, they all teach me how to make good beneficial choices while in charge of my own business.

Business administration is an extremely versatile degree to major in. The possibilities are nearly endless when it comes to possible career paths after graduation. Every business needs some form of management to operate successfully and efficiently. That is where a business administration graduate becomes useful. A person with a business administration degree typically works in the upper levels of management in order to make sure the business is running at full capacity.
