Research Question: Should United Airlines provide, or continue to provide, a wellness program and other benefits for their employees for motivation and enhanced performance? Method: Firstly, being a publicly listed company within the United States, United Airlines is required to produce and distribute online a significant amount of company information for their investors, yet also the public, to access. Initially, their website was first consulted and viewed as the first potential source of information that may have been applicable to the topics under investigation here, 2.4 Motivation. Since this topic, 2.4 Motivation, is highly focused upon the staff and their wellness or other various factors, a necessary amount of data, or information, needed to be available to draw any sort of conclusion. As mentioned the website for United Airlines was the first source to be consulted and several investor reports issued either quarterly or annually were available to be viewed. These reports were extremely detailed and while they did provide some relevant information or data, much of the reports had no relation or significance to the topic of 2.4 Motivation. Most applicable was the annual company report for the period ending on the 31st of December, 2015. It contained a table of data about the number of employees per “employee group”
