Nova Moda is a medium sized business, it has just opened a new outlet in Tower road Sliema, though in its first week of opening, its store traffic and sales were low.

It has been identified, that Mr. Smith (Owner, and managing director) had no business plan, neither a clear vision upon were he would like to position his business on the market. His only motivation was that a friend of his, opened a similar venture in Valletta, and was doing quite well.

• The purpose,
• The course of action, and
• The scope of the operations.
• Market
• Geographic operations

A few examples of local mission statements are:


"WE, at Brandstatter – Malta enjoy challenging ourselves to excel at satisfying customers through a commitment to quality – profitably."

Brandstatter talk as a WE in their mission statement – they treat all employees alike. Within the mission statement, Brandstatter, emphasis on challenging themselves, to keep up their customer satisfaction through a commitment that they have taken and to be able to provide good quality and provide profits for the company.

Hilton Malta

"To be the leading five star business and leisure hotel in Malta, by leading the market in the provision of friendly and efficient service consolidated by a superior product."

Within their mission statement Hilton Malta emphasis on wanting to be the leading hotel group in Malta by providing an efficient and friendly service to customers and employees.


"To proactively facilitate the restructuring of Maltese manufacturing enterprises, assisting them to become more competitive."
