Goal A: Students will be able to “Explain human development processes and those factors which encourage and/or discourage full development within the various contexts or development.” The main ideas in both CAFS 200: Introduction to child, adolescent, and family development and CHDV B20: Principles and Practices were focused on the developmental theory highlight as well as appropriate practices applied to programs and environments. These courses highlighted on the roles of relationships, interactions, and teaching strategies that would support physical, social, and creative development for all children. These courses taught us as students how to conduct observations, what to look for, and how to record the findings accurately. Much emphasis
As you have reflected on development across the lifespan and the Life Wheel throughout this course, what have you discovered about physical, social/cultural, environmental, developmental (Week 1-3 only) or occupational (Week 4 and 5), spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development? Reflect on the material from each week incorporating the elements listed. If there is a component that you believe is not applicable, please include a rationale. Support your reflections with appropriate citations as you address each of the following:
Produce a report to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of different theorist of development. This report should identify how these theorists have influenced current practice.
This Final Examination instructs the student to reflect on and discuss what was learned from the assignments in the UED 605-90D Human Growth Development course that will help ensure student success. In this paper, I will apply my knowledge of what I have learned from each assignment to help me reflect on my existing understanding of the subject. Fortunately, I have acquired some valuable material that is very beneficial in assisting me to achieve my full potential as a student.
2:3 Research the following theories of development; explain how the theories and frameworks influence current practice.
The Child Study data I have gathered comes from the observation I have completed at Mission Bell Elementary School. Mission Bell Elementary School is a local school in Riverside. In the P.M preschool class there are 24 students, one teacher, and one assistant. The child I decided to observe is names Zoe. Zoe is 4 years and 10 months old. I immediately was drawn to Zoe because she had such a big personality, was very social, and smart. I am glad that I choose to observe Zoe because she was able to make my observation process smooth and easy. While observing her I had to pay close attention to her biosocial development, motor skills, cognitive skills, communication skills,
The first area of development I tested was social development. The question I asked Andrea dealt with the concept of friendship. I asked her “what makes someone a friend?” She took a while to respond because she was trying to figure out what to say. I prompted her by saying “there is no right or wrong answer just answer what you think makes someone a friend”. She answered “a friend is someone who is nice and kind.” Since this was all she said I asked her “who is one of your best friends, and why are they your friend?” She answered “Alana is my best friend and we always sit by each other at lunch. I trust her and we talk about how we feel and play games together.”
It is imperative that practitioners are able to observe and assess each child’s development in order to gain a full understanding of their development and how they can build upon this in order to cater to the needs of the child and allow them to fulfill their potential. This is highlighted by Wheeler (2009, p.63) in stating that ‘Observations are fed into family worker and team planning so that future activities can be based on an individual child’s interests and patterns of behavior and thereby enhance their learning’.
b) Why it is important to provide opportunities for learners to develop their English, Mathematics, ICT and wider skills such as communication, personal and employability (ref. 1.3)
To have a development as a person needs to have a greater human capacity to maximize their social, economic, cultural and political circles, and protect them for future generations through hard work,
The program’s philosophy is based on the NAEYC’s guidelines on developmentally appropriate practices and Froebel, Piaget, and Gardner’s early learning theories. We believe that every child can learn and grow with the proper care and instruction. The NAEYC defines practices as developmentally appropriate when they consider age and stage related differences, individual differences in learning style and preferences, and social and cultural differences among children (Kostelnik, Soderman, & Whiren, 2011). For this reason we believe that the best way to ensure positive development is to adapt the materials, activities, and the mode of demonstrating learning to meet the varied needs of our students.

Children are complex, and the way a child develops differs from individual to individual. The study of children is a field that researchers, scientists, theorists and educators have been exploring for decades. CHYS 1F90 studies the foundations of childhood development and allows the students to look at the way children develop through multiple lenses. Many conclusions have been drawn, observing how, when and why children develop the way they do. Jerry and Samantha are both grade one students who are unrelated. Although these two students are both the same age, they are different on a variety of accounts. Jerry is a shy and introverted boy who quickly becomes uncomfortable while talking to adults, teachers and peers, contrariwise
There are things that we all need to learn in order to lead a happy life in dignity, be part of society and make use of our resourcefulness”.
"Ever since I was a child, I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one 's potential"(Bruce Lee). I think this quote pertains greatly to how children grow up. The Assignment purpose was to observe a child between the ages of 2 and 16. Human Development is important because it shows what you can identify. For example, if there is anything wrong with your child or if your child is more developed than others. Plus, there is so much that you can learn from observing the child from how they react in their environment and around people. If you know what to look for in human develop it greatly helps in knowing what to do with a child when you least expect it.
As will be demonstrated in this essay, the Report effectively answers four key questions that are fundamental to an understanding of progress in human development.
