Pin 2 is connected to LDR (photo sensor) and pin 3 to 1 kΩ resistor, which makes the laser light on the LDR have a low resistance, making the 741 op-amp stop the buzzer from going off. When the laser light is interrupted the LDR resistance will increase, which hits a point less than that of resistor making the 4017 ic op-amp to switch to the output pin 1, because of that the power supply to LDR being cut off allowing the buzzer to go off. Pin 7 the voltage is coming in through it while pin 4 is connected to the …show more content…

And the switch is connected to the pin 15 which is for Reset, after pressing the reset button 4017 switches the outpin back to 0. Hence, the whole process resets and buzzer goes (making sure that the lazer is pointing at the LDR). The pin 14 of 4017 is connected to pin 6 of 741 in order give input to the clock. LDR (Photoresistor): LDR plays a vital role here, as the whole circuit is designed around the resistance of LDR. The LDR resistance is dependant on the light intensity, when the laser is pointed at LDR it has low resistance but as soon as the signal is broken and there is no light being pointed at LDR its resistance goes high making the buzzer go OFF.
