CHAPTER 3 METHODOLOGY 3.0 Introduction This chapter will present a detailed description of the research methodology applied in this study. It is divided into six sections that are research design, sampling design, questionnaire design, measurement and scale, data collection method and data analysis. Methodology describes the methods used to obtain the result. 3.1 Descriptive Research A descriptive study is one in which information is collected without changing the environment. In human research, a descriptive study can provide information about the naturally occurring health status, behavior, attitudes or other characteristics of a particular group. 3.4 Data collection method The survey method used to collect the primary data to this research. The elements of the data collection discussed in the following subtopic. 3.4.1 Sampling design This research study finds out the effectiveness of training on job performance. For this purpose, training center ILSAS has been chosen at Bangi. The main data used in this study were collected in the form of questionnaires to employees TNB who undergoing training at ILSAS, Bangi. 3.4.1.1 Sampling size and method A total of two hundred respondents of the employees TNB who undergoing training at ILSAS surveyed for the purposes of this study. Two hundred employees were selected using convenience sampling technique, to which questionnaires were administered. The questionnaires will administered personally by the researcher to the respondents, selecting every 5th employee counted from list name of employees. 3.4.2 Questionnaire Design The questionnaire will be designing to study the effectiveness of training on job performance. Basically the questionnaires are adapted from the previous research. To measure each constructs, the researcher will use multiple items that can be evaluated with reliability and validity.
