CLIN 49 Mission Statement

The Target Corporation’s mission statement is to make their company the most sought after shopping destination by delivering a great guest experience with the most innovated technologies and quality merchandise. Target is the second largest general merchandise retailer in America. Target was founded by George Draper Dayton, in 1902, with the name Goodfellow Dry Goods. In 1903, Mr. Dayton changed the name to The Dayton Compay. Furthermore, the first Target store opened in 1962 in the Minneapolis, Minnesota which became the main headquarters. It grew to be the largest division of the Dayton-Hudson Corporation and was subsequently renamed the Target Corporation in 2000. Target anticipates staying ahead by challenging the company to be the most efficient and intellectual upscale company in the retail industry (Target Corporation, 2016).

Yum! brands, Inc, is one of the largest and most popular restaurant chain across the globe. It is based in Louisville Kentucky operating approximately 41000 restaurants in 125 countries and territories of which Taco bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, Long John Silver man and A&W chains are their brands since the spin-off in1997 when those brands were transferred from PepsiCo to Tricon company and later Yum! changed their name from Tricon to Yum in 2002. A&W and Long silver man are no longer subsidiaries of yum since 2011 as Yum focused on their 3 main brands kfc, taco bell and pizza hut and have acquired little sheep and east downing as their new subsidiaries. Yum! Generates revenue mainly from their food products like chicken, pizza and Mexican grilled

The Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) was created with the passing of the National Defense Act of 1916. Since then, more than 1,700 units have been created in the Army branch alone. I will be focusing on Blackman High School’s JROTC which was founded in 2000.

The mission statement at UNC Wilmington states that they are committed to student engagement, creative inquiry, critical thinking, thoughtful expression and resposible citizenship. These qualities are things that every student should look for when the big deciosion of where to go to college comes up. College is a big stepping stone for students, it shouldnt be about where all your friends are going, or where the parties are gonna be. The education and enviorment you are wanting to be in is what matters. I have dreams and aspirations of becoming a nurse, getting a BSN degree. UNCW has factors that stand out against any other school. Job prospects and salary are high, this means that when I leave UNCW I wont have to worry about whether or not

In 1850, the Arkansas school for the deaf,ASD, first opened located in Little rock, Arkansas. Opened with 6 students enrolled.The school was a K-12 residential school the students stay from sunday night till friday afternoon.. The school consists of a elementary school, middle school, and a high school.The mission statement for ASD is to “work together to create learning opportunities for academic excellence and personal independence”.The school board for ASD is a mixture of hearing and deaf people which is good because they can come together with two different perspectives.

Seattle Pacific University is located in Seattle, Washington, and it is a Christian college. SPU was established in 1891 and has an average rate of student acceptance. The mission statement of the college is to “engage the culture and change the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.” The college also strives to ensure that along with learning the skills they need to be successful in their later careers, students also leave the college with a deep understanding of the Bible. While SPU typically has about 4,000 students enrolled each year, the student to faculty ratio is just 14:1, and the college aims to keep fewer than 30 students in most classes.

The PS 119 school located in Brooklyn, the student's enrollment 440. The mission of this school “ is to foster within students the abilities and self-confidence essential to develop academic and social skills by providing students with comprehensive programs implemented by highly skilled, nurturing professionals dedicated to excellence in education.” The neighborhood school is an active and diverse community. Also, PS 119 has several partnerships such as Ballet Tech, The NY Aquarium, St. Joseph’s College, Haitian Counsel, Police department, Chess-in-the-Schools which providing students with extra help in professional development. The school provides a lot of activities such as ESL program, after school program, participation in the area

San Diego State is a public university and provides top education. It is one of the 23 campuses of the California State University System and has its own branch campus in the Imperial Valley. Their acceptance rates are 34.5% therefore a majority of applicants will not be accepted because they might not have the right GPA or they may not have enough extracurricular activities. They have an outstanding soccer team that has been doing very well this season. It’s also on the beautiful coast of San Diego. They have such a beautiful campus with wonderful people. They are also right next to the beach so you have that wonderful sea smell everyday. San Diego defines its missions as “ to provide a well- balanced, high quality education for undergraduate and graduate students and to contribute to knowledge in the solution of problems are excellent distinction in teaching, research, and service.”

Narrow hallways walled by human heads and limbs crowding every space between metal bars surrounded me. Children starved on unpaved streets with only rags that wrapped their bodies. I ended my high school career by serving a foreign community. In Chinandega, Nicaragua I had the opportunity to befriend and support the sick, the imprisoned, the orphaned and impoverished. This experience among others shaped me to appreciate the value of philanthropy and social justice.

In COM466, I learned how to create a mission statement and understood what the meaning behind the statement was; however, I did not know the legal perspective either. Not to mention, I have worked with a lot of nonprofit organizations and I noticed that the people there are extremely loyal to their mission. People would give up their free time to volunteer at the organization and strive to help others out by using different resources to reach the goals of the mission statement. In addition, most mission statements are focus on the change of our society and it encourage the organization to keep making improvement.

Once you have recognized and agreed upon the goals for the CMDB project, now further task is to create a mission statement. This mission statement should reflect the views of senior management, the project sponsor and the business needs. It should hold the bottom line of your project goals and thinking behind them. The mission statement should contain the reason for undertaking the CMDB project, the benefits of CMDB, how will you achieve your goals. To develop a best mission statement, input from the entire project team should be considered and it should be reviewed by all the key stakeholders, and everybody who is influenced by the CMDB project. Project team can get motivated and inspired by this and gets the clear picture why you are pursuing
