3. Explain your chosen diet. What are the details of the diet? How does the diet claim to work? Do you need to stay on the diet for a specific period of time? (3 marks) I have chosen the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet which is designed to assist with weight loss and healthy weight maintenance. The diet consists of foods high in protein which provides important nutrients as well as helping control hunger and preventing muscle loss. The food plan in the diet also has foods low in GI (glycemic index) which helps the body maintain blood glucose levels for longer periods of time, their sustained energy keeps you feeling fuller for longer. The diet lasts for 12 weeks and it combines ‘scientifically based healthy eating plan with easy to use online tools which help keep you on track and motivated to achieve your weight and lifestyle goals’. The CSIRO have also joined up with Woolworths online shopping as apart of the plan which allows you to get all of your groceries delivered to your doorstep. The diet also allows 1 indulgent food per day such as a chocolate bar or a packet of chips.
