Prairie View A&M is greatly known for as the "party school". But in reality, that is not true. Prairie View actually, produces productive people. Prairie View has a legacy of producing the state's top engineer's. The college of engineering has established a reputation for producing engineers who have made huge contributions to many of America's fortune 500 companies. The college I hope to attend is California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. The school was founded in 1894 when a local journalist gathered the townspeople to lobby for a state school in their town. They got the governor to sign legislation to establish California Polytechnic School. The first classes were on October 1, 1903.

While he went to Pasadena junior college, he did not play any sports, but as soon he went to the University of California, Los Angeles

The accapella group and the drum group was very interesting to watch. It was fun to learn the school cheers that could be used at sporting events. It was also fun to dance along to the song that was played. Sitting through the speeches was not a part that I particularly enjoyed but I know that they were very insightful and that the advice will help me later in life. Among the sports offered are flag football, soccer, kickball, basketball, volleyball, softball, ski racing, and ultimate Frisbee. Of all the programs, basketball is the most popular, with around forty teams competing.

Ever since my sister attended Troy University and told me about all the superior activities Troy has to offer, I have wanted to attend this college. Troy has an outstanding nursing program, and that is the career field I plan on going into prior graduation. I have always wanted to specialize in neonatal nursing with sick babies. Troy also has some awesome sororities at their school I am interested in being a part of. Alpha Gamma Delta is the sorority I am most interested in. They strive to achieve academic excellence and they help out their school as much as they can. Lastly, Troy has a very beautiful, clean, and safe campus. Feeling safe while walking around your college is a very important factor to me.

Cal Poly Pomona is a very unique school in which it has the largest Cal State University systems. It also is one of the great options when thinking about going to a CSU school. I would love to be accepted into Cal Poly Pomona because I am interested in their learning-by-doing philosophy. I think the idea of learning by seeing how to do things yourself is very effective. The university also has my major that I want to study in. This school would be a good fit for my personal needs and career aspirations because it has the major I want, is locally efficient, and is one of the few universities that teaches students by having them do it themselves.

On the campus of the University of California, Tatiana Tarasoff was killed by Prosenjit Poddar just two months after being detained by campus police for making such threats in a counseling session. According to Public Health Law, Poddar expressed that he was going to carry out the action of murder during two different counseling sessions, which his psychologist, Dr. Moore, had no choice but to have him detained. He was released after promising to stay away from Tarasoff, however, he followed through on killing Tatiana Tarasoff. During this time frame, according to the “Facts” from a casebriefs.com (page 2), the psychologist sought out other professionals for insight. The reason for consensualizing was to get others’ insight as to whether is was the psychologists place to warn Tatiana Tarasoff or her parents of this threat, and break confidentiality with her client. The conclusion drawn was to not warn, which was advised by Moore’s superior, or protect Tatiana, and as a result, she was murdered by Poddar in 1969.

There is no knowing what my legacy at UC Irvine may be, but I will describe what my goal is for the next four years. Of course it includes doing well in all my classes, however I would like to accomplish more than that and at a deeper level. I would like to work with other students to make our community become more united than it already is. Fitting in is one thing, but making others feel welcomed is much more important. College is a place where connections and ties are established and everyone should be able to do so. It would be of great pleasure to join groups where as a collective we help not only each other, but also the community around us. The legacy I want to create is not for me but rather for the notion of an interconnected and involved

“We walked around then we had dinner in Chinatown, so that was really interesting. The next day, we toured Berkley, the college, so we actually took an underground subway to get to Berkley cause its about 20 minutes to 30 minutes from San Fran,” She said. “We took a shuttle there and walked around the town of Berkley and then we went to a college for the tour. There are a bunch of Universities in California like UCLA and Berkley, but those were the first ones so I guess they got rights to that

Obtaining higher education is difficult. There is that saying that if it was easy, everybody would do it. Being admitted into a four year institution out of high school is something out of the past. More and more people are obtaining their education through community colleges. State Law requires the California Community Colleges (CCC) to operate as open access institutions. This means all persons 18 or older may attend a community college. (Prioritizing Course Enrollment at the Community Colleges) San Bernardino Valley College currently practices priority registration for their students. This can be beneficial for students and faculty for various reasons. However, are the categories for registration rational? Is Priority registration at San Bernardino Valley College necessary?

This College is 202.3 miles away and I think it would be good to get out of Corcoran to be able to do what I love to do. I would move to Pomona to attend the western university of health science because it would be a good school to go to. This College is far enough away that I would have to move away to attend but I think it would be worth it. Both of these Colleges are good places to go to have a good opportunity.
