Caloundra is a coastal town within the Sunshine coast region, surrounded by beaches such as Bulcock Beach, Kings Beach, Golden Beach, Dicky Beach and the Pumicestone Passage. Caloundra provides a range of outdoor activities, especially as a result of its lush natural environment, promoting a heathy life style and attracting tourism and locals through recreational activities. The local economy of Caloundra is primarily seasonal, and is currently suffering due to competition from surrounding areas such as Kawana Town Centre, South Caloundra (AURA) development, and Maroochydore developments. In response to this, the Sunshine Coast Regional Council has developed a Master Plan to revitalise the CBD of Caloundra, attracting tourism and income back
The Year 10 geography field trip was an insightful experience into the workings and functioning of metropolitan coastlines here in South Australia. The day consisted of visiting various beaches in Adelaide that were influenced by some form of hard or soft engineering techniques that changed the natural processes of the beaches. What was evident from this trip was how much these beaches have been changed to an extent where it is unlikely that they will ever go back to the way they were prior to human settlement.
Wurundjeri People(39000BC-1835) were hunter/gatherers and actively managed the environment such that they did not permanently deplete its resources. The creek and surrounding lands were important to Aborigines for food, shelter and travel. In the book “To Kill a Mockingbird”, there are all different people who have different points of views on the same subject. Peoples views on racism, equality and courage are all different. Certain people think differently because of things like age, time period, and background. Perspective has a great impact on the book because the whole book is told in the perspective of a little girl. In chapter three of To Kill a Mockingbird, Jem Finch, the brother of the narrator Scout Finch, invites a little boy named Walter Cunningham over for lunch. Walter is very poor and does not get treated to good meals. The Finches prepared a nice lunch for themselves and their guest. Walter asked for some syrup to put on his meat. Scout, who is six years old at
The author of the paper, Daly, while arguing against the maintaining of marine parks, brings forwards other people’s views as evidence to some very good points to support his position. Apparently, in Australia such Marine Parks are not easily accessible to a population which is largely city based, and consequently, equally inaccessible to the tourists, whom visit the country. Also the exorbitant fees may actually be out of the budgetary means of many tourists. It has been suggested that many tourists come to Australia, specifically to visit such marine parks. The country is an Island, surrounded by an ocean, an ocean full of marine life. Also a very healthy marine tours industry that

Calpurnia, or “Cal”, was the Finch’s African-American housekeeper and cook. Her being a black, middle-aged woman in a white dominated society, we can already infer she has experienced great racial injustices. Throughout the novel, we see significant and noticeable changes in the main characters, but little development in Calpurnia´s character. Before you discard this essay on what was supposed to be about a chosen character changing due to social and racial injustices throughout the book, give the thesis some thought. Scout is the narrator of the book, therefore we are seeing changes through her point of view; so we only see Calpurnia changing through the eyes of Scout, but they were not in actuality
MSTT met with Calysta and assisted her to a psychiatrist appointment at MST office. MSTT worked with Calysta and prepared her for some of the questions she is going to have to answer. This stage is when more and more people make trips to the coastal location, the facilities are built for the visitor is being used. The accumulation of tourism takes over the primary function of the town. This causes ill feeling within the location and loss of original culture that the town had. This can be seen in Weston-super-Mare with the building of the grand pier as local traders, unhappy that visitors were not coming as far as the centre of the town, built a new pier closer to the main streets. Also the tourist where now not drawn in to the town for the benefits of the sea and the once romantic rural charm the town had. People where now coming to Weston-super-Mare for its attractions such as the grand pier’s grant theatre where musical stars of the day performed bringing in big crowds to the town. All the new attractions and amenities that were emplaced at time of growth are being used such as the amusements, which were a hit for people of all ages. The ever growing road networks and the opening of motorways like the M5 provided another mode for people to visit the beach and attractions.
U.K. shower industry comprised of mainly 3 types of showers: Electric showers, Mixer showers and power showers. Plumbers were always looking for easy way out. So they preferred installing the existing showers which they had complete knowledge about. As a result it was very difficult to any company to come with technologically advanced showers.
Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus (b. A.D. 12, d. A.D. 41, emperor A.D. 37-41) represents a turning point in the early history of the Principate. Unfortunately, his is the most poorly documented reign of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. The literary sources for these four years are meager, frequently anecdotal, and universally hostile.[[1]] As a result, not only are many of the events of the reign unclear, but Gaius himself appears more as a caricature than a real person, a crazed megalomaniac given to capricious cruelty and harebrained schemes. Although some
Retention of Visitor spending: The key to achieving economic sustainability for tourism in (i.e. California and Giants Causeway) is maximising the economic retention of tourist spending in your local economy. The sustainable tourism businesses need to develop strategies that are capable of meeting the long-term economic needs and aspirations of the local community. If the communities are engaged by tourism organisations as stakeholders in tourism, and economic partners in the tourism industry, this will actively support local tourism businesses. Tourism is a rapidly growing industry and has far-reaching economic and environmental impact across the destinations; hence, if tourism is an important source of local employment and a significant
Coral reefs are not only important for the environment but also beneficial for humans. Reefs provide fish to catch, economic financial gain from tourism and contain medicinal potential (Donner 2007). Fishermen are reliant on coral reef ecosystems, supplying them with an abundance of seafood to market or consume. The economy profits from the revenue generated by the attraction of tourism to the

Population growth has fueled the demand for more resources. The demand for coastal resources has grown significantly due to over 40% of the world’s population living within 100 km of the coast. Living in Hawaii, one of the natural resources that is most valuable to society and the local economy is access to these coastal and beach resources. At a state level, providing and improving access to coastal resources has been a priority objective as defined by the Coastal Zone Management Act. In attempts to valuate the benefits of access to these coastal resources, the majority of previous research has focused on the value of beach recreation in coastal regions. These studies have found that visitors’ decisions on what beach to go to are highly influenced by preferences, perceptions and the site’s characteristics (Halkos & Matsiori 2012). According to this study by Halkos and Matsiori in Greece people are more likely to be willing to pay for improvements in beach water quality, site facilities and additional beach access points. Recent studies have taken this data one step further to valuate the economic benefits of each of these identified improvements.
