My Opinion On Voting Canadian political parties
The NDP in my opinion, is the best party to vote for. “I know, New Democrats know, that is is possible to grow our economy while protecting our environment,” (Tom Mulcair-speech at iVote May 2015.) The following reasons why I support the New Democratic Party are. Their belief of not leaving anyone behind, the way they plan to grow the economy and how they will help preserve the environment.
Firstly, The NDP’s main goal, -To build a better Canada, where no one is left behind. Meaning they will support the less fortunate Canadians and help elevate them into a better social class. They will support the lower class by taxing the richer population, closing the income gap. This approach I suspect

The NDP will re-prioritize the goals Canada has and treat global warming seriously, facing it now rather than ignoring and letting it spiral out of control in the future. The NDP will combat this by investing in the production of clean tech. By 2020, the global market for Cleantech is estimated to be over 3-trillion. Another plan the NDP have is to ensure the construction of future national parks, protecting the ecosystems and create new jobs at the same time. They want to increase the amount of emissions tax corporations pay as well as decrease the limit they already have. This is a tremendous way to help boost the economy and protect the environment. Lastly, The New Democratic Party will fight for what made Canada such a great place to live… the Environment; that we took for granted for the last decade exploiting and exhausting the natural resources we are fortunate to have in Canada. Currently, the Canadian government is taking several initiatives to control climate change. In 2017, Canada signed the Paris Accord and agreed to cut 30% of carbon emissions by 2030.
The government responsible to take charge for this issue are global, federal and provincial. As a planet, we must coalesce with each other to find solutions to preserving the planet. World leaders are meeting with each other, discussing ways to fix the damages humans created. The government of Canada is dedicated on working with leaders all over the world to make changes that will help resolve the effects of climate change. Also, Canada is committed to supporting and helping out third world countries who need help in accommodating to the effects of climate change. Investments are being made to reduce emissions as well. The government of Canada and its provinces and territories are uniting together to encounter the effects of climate change. They aim on federal funding, the flexibility to design their own carbon pricing policies on putting a price on carbon and reducing carbon pollution.
If the New Democratic Party gains power, they are going to make the health care in Canada better for citizens. Health care is definitely a very important factor in keeping everyone in Canada happy and healthy. Without healthcare, we will get sick more frequently, and not going to regular checkups will make diseases more likely to affect us negatively. The NDP is proposing to end the fees for ambulance services. This will make people more likely to call an ambulance instead of taking a chance of driving themselves. This could save lives because ambulances are much faster than driving yourself in a car because people are required by law to move out of the way of an incoming ambulance on the road. The NDP is saying to give seniors the support they need to live in their own homes instead of being forced to move to an old age home when they get to old to care for themselves or when loved ones and family can no longer care for them. If they get support in their homes, they will not need to go through the stress of moving to a different environment in their late age. If they reduce their stress to as little as possible, they will be more prone to a longer life span. The NDP is promising a fifty percent increase in the number of doctors and nurses being trained each year, so that there is more available in hospitals and emergency
The Green party believes in making healthcare more readily available for citizens and plan to increase the number of people that can be cared for in long term care in order to increase the amount of people that can be helped with the universal health care system of Canada.
The Northern Ontario Party was busy this past weekend with hosting their first AGM at Kettle Lakes Provincial Park near Timmins Ontario. But when the dust settled the Northern Ontario Party had its first truly elected executive board in the Party’s history. The NOP is proud to announce that the members have overwhelmingly voted in favor of keeping the present board intact with a 96% approval rating. There was only one slight move in the executive board, that being long-term Party President Edward Deibel will now sit on the board in the role of Party Founder and Director. Ed will continue to have a say in the Party’s direction as well as maintain his role as mentor and will give guidance to current and future board members.
The day I had been waiting for had finally come; it was October 29, 2015, and I was going to vote for the federal election at Thistletown C.I.'s school cafeteria just like any other Canadian citizen. There were two main reasons as to why I wanted to vote that day; one was because I wanted to see a change in Canada and another was that I didn't want the Conservatives to win again since I didn't agree with some of their promises. I voted for the New Democratic Party because their promises in jobs, families, and healthcare can help Canada become more prosperous, affordable. The party which didn't impress me as much was the Conservative Party because their promises on energy and environment, manufacturing and infrastructure, and public finances
The Northern Ontario Party believes MPPs, are elected to represent their constituents and for Northern Ontario businesses to survive we need to have active politicians, who are going to fight tooth and nail for them.
The recent provincial election for British Columbia resulted in the New Democratic Party’s leader John Horgan partnering with the Green Party’s leader Andrew Weaver. British Columbia Construction Association President Chris Achison expressed optimism for the NDP-Green government as both parties have platforms that indicate support for investment in the construction industry. However, he does mention that the partnership also brings a level of uncertainty to the industry (Frey, 2017a). The NDP-Green alliance previously declared to transition economic focus to more sustainable industries (Taylor, 2017). NDP pledged to focus on building social infrastructures such as schools and transit projects (Frey, 2017b). This adds to the uncertainty on
Canada has been experiencing an increase of support for electoral reform, so much so that in the most recent election in 2015 electoral reform was one of now Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s campaign. There is no doubt that a significant part of the Canadian public is interested in seeing electoral reform come to fruition. It is only a matter of determining if reform is the best solution. According to Cross “there are three primary factors working together to create a fertile ground for electoral reform projects… These three factors are disproportionality in the translation of votes into seats, a general democratic malaise, and the relative financial cost of democratic reform in comparison with reforms in other policy fields” (p. 78, 2005).
I believe that everyone should have a choice to what they do, what they have, what they want and how they live. Everyone should be able to be themselves and live how they want to, as long as no one gets hurt. NDP supports that as well, being a fan of diversity and multiculturalism, letting religions be free and
The Liberals have been known to “campaign left and govern right”. They hold a respectable economic record from 1997 all the way to 2006. Between these years, Canada enjoyed eight years of financial surplus’. The conservatives were elected in 2006. The Canadian government, following 2007, suffered from 8 years of consecutive economic deficit.
The Rhinoceros party promises that if elected, they will not to keep any promises made. They also promise to repeal the law of gravity, taxing the black market, and they promote higher education by building higher schools. They are also proposing replacing the lotto with a program they call ‘Lolo Senate’. This would allow all Canadians to be eligible win a seat in the senate, and experience the perks, such as a 4 day a year work day minimum, a $138, 700/year salary, and voting ‘yes’ and ‘no’ to all laws.
In the western part of Canada, aside from Alberta, usually, politics showcased NDP or CCF on the left side, while some other political party on the right side. The current epitome of the BC Liberal Party accomplishes this role in British Columbia according to BC Politics. This British Columbia political party is neutral federally and it acquires its associates from the center going to the center right. The Social Credit Party of BC suffered several scandals, and plummeted in popularity polls and get replace with NDP. The revival of the Liberal Party caused a split in the moderate/conservative vote, however, and led to a ten-year period of NDP rule in B.C. from 1991 to 2001. Social Credit Party era is ended by NDP in 1991 and NDP hold onto power
Canadian political parties’ vital roles in the Parliamentary system, includes parties that are organizations bound together by a common ideology, or other ties, that search for political power in order to initiate their policies. Canada’s democratic system competes for power during the election. Due to the Preamble of the Canadian Constitution Act of 1867, it states categorically, Canada shall have Constitution resemblance in principle to that of the United Kingdom. Consequently, Canada’s Parliamentary system derives from British, or Westminster tradition. The Canadian system of Parliamentary Government features: Parliament of the Crown and an Upper and Lower Legislative Chamber. In Canada, the Legislative power is vested in Parliament to make
A sensible plan of creating new advances innovation to decrease greenhouse gas emissions, which they did with acid rain. “ Canada ought to accomplish more, as we are quite a small part of the global issue,” said Brian Mulroney.
