Cancer is one of the most dangerous diseases, there are because of the treatment that is used. People tend to think that cancer is just one central disease, but cancer is many different diseases that are all categorized as one. Cancerous has been making people suffer for thousands of years. There is no age limit for when people can get cancer. As of right now, there are four treatments for cancer and they are surgery, radiation, biologic therapy, and chemotherapy. Even though chemotherapy is used as a treatment, the side effects are extremely dangerous. The amount of toxins that are going into the body can kill the body in the process of trying to treat the cancer. Some cancers can be prevented by refraining from
Cancer is one of the most lethal diseases that greatly contributes to the death toll of millions people around the globe. Cancer is a class of diseases characterized by out of control cell growth. There are over 100 different types of cancer, and the type of cell that is initially affected classifies each. In most cases, cancer harms the body when damaged cells divide uncontrollably to form lumps or masses of tissue called tumors. Untreated cancers can cause serious illness and death.
Beginning with Cancer, it is class of diseases characterized by out-of control cell growth. Currently there is around 100 different types of cancer. In current times some forms of cancer are already curable but some are only curable up to certain stages. Currently in the word there is around 13.5 million diagnosed with
Cancer is a disease that has resulted in one in four deaths each year in the U.S. This illness can be defined as a uncontrollable spread of growing abnormal cancerous cells. The cells of the illness grows bigger than the average cells nucleus. After it does this the cells continues to divide and spread then forming rumors.
When someone says the word “disease” or “illness” the most common association with these words are Cancer. Cancer is so frighteningly common that it is expected by The American Cancer Society to have 564,800 people die of cancer this year which is a little more than 1,500 people a day. Cancer is the second leading cause of death. With these statistics to back up Cancer one will see walks supporting cancer, media discussing possible new found cures, nfl football players wearing pink to support breast cancer awareness, the Susan G. Komen foundation and so many other big foundations raising millions of dollars towards a cure. Where are the walks or large foundations to raise awareness of diseases for psychosis such as Schizophrenia? Schizophrenia
Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide, and the first in many developing countries. One in three women and one in two men in the United States will develop cancer in his or her lifetime. The burden of cancer continues to increase annually, mainly due to the aging and growth of the general population alongside a widespread display of cancer-causing behaviors, including physical inactivity and smoking. Approximately 12.7 million cancer cases and 7.6 million cancer deaths are estimated to have occurred globally. Current cancer treatments are useful, but many times ineffective or unreliable. While the goal of the treatment is to “fix” the cancer, many survivors, even among those who are considered cancer free, must cope with the long-term effects of treatment; psychological concerns, such as fear of recurrence or trauma from the past experience are also prevalent. A higher risk of developing heart-related problems are most often due to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, especially if certain drugs such as doxorubicin or cyclophosphamide are used; swelling of the heart muscle, heart disease, and congestive heart failure are only some of the side effects that occur in patients. Different cancer treatments may also damage the lungs and expose patients to inflammation and thickening of the lungs. The number of negative clinical outcomes emphasizes an urgent need for the development of better therapeutic methods to treat the disease. As a result, it is increasingly
Beep! beep! beep! That is the sound you will hear in any hospital room - that was the sound my family and I heard every Thursday morning for eight years. Cancer is a word that no one wants to hear. It is a word that brings hope, anger, denial, and fear. Cancer - cancer changes your life. You learn what is important, not to waste your time, and to tell people you love them.
Cancer has touched nearly every American, either directly or through a loved one. Cancer develops when human cells begin to grow out of control and continuously produce new cells. Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death globally, and treatment is often time-consuming and costly.1 Treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, hormones and heat.1 Cannabis is now considered to be a successful aid to these treatment methods. Cannabis contains approximately 85 known types of cannabinoids which consist of active chemicals that create a drug like effects within the human body. In studies conducted by the American Cancer Society, it was discovered that cannabis was helpful in treating nausea and vomiting, often caused
They are many different diseases and cancers is all around us. Its amazing how some people do not know what cancer really is. Well cancer is a term that is used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control . There are more than 100 different types of cancer. Most cancers are named for the organ that is infected or the type of cell that starts with. For that matter one of the most less common but also deadliest disease is leukemia. Leukemia is a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow, that is the spongy center of the bones where our blood cells are formed and this develops when blood cells reproduce in the bone marrow grow without having a control of reproduction.
There are so many diseases found worldwide that can either be cured or lead to death. Cancer is the name for a group of diseases in which the body’s cells are changed in appearance and function. This disease is the second most leading cause of death in the United States. Cancer can also develop from genetic defect. A single gene in a single chromosome that gets passed on from generation to generation. Cancer can be treated and cured, but may also deal with recurrence of the disease. The American Cancer Society defines cancer as a group of diseases that are characterized by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. They can be classified by function and location of the cells from which they originate. These cancer classifications include Carcinomas, Sarcomas, Leukemias, Lymphoma. The most common cancers are Carcinomas known to originate in the body. Sarcomas are derived from connective tissues, fat, bone, muscle, or cartilage. Leukemias involves the blood cells, bone marrow, and other blood- forming organs. Lymphoma takes place in the lymphatic system. These cancers involve diseases of the body’s cells which have two primary sources called environmental factors and cellular factors. Environmental factors deals with lifestyle and environment exposure such as

Cancer is one of the most prevalent groups of disorders in the population in many countries worldwide. Epidemiologic studies have indicated that most human cancers are originally caused by environmental exposure to genotoxic agents (Doll et al., 1981). With respect to global human health hazard, arsenic (As) is one of the most important environmental single substance toxicants. It is a metalloid element and exists in organic and inorganic forms (iAs). Later is considered as a class I human carcinogen (IARC, 2004, 2012) and is associated with adverse effects dependent on dose, duration and exposure frequency. In particular chronic exposure to iAs is associated to an increased risk of skin, bladder, lung, kidney cancers, as well as
According to the World Health Organization, cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, and has the most devastating economic impact of any cause of death in the world. One of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality is gastric cancer, and that is due to the low rate of its diagnosis in its’ early stages as unfortunately, even the methods available for early detection of gastric cancer such as tumor biomarkers, are not very sensitive or efficient. Therefore, this proposal aims at non-invasive early detection of gastric cancer by firstly separating the blood plasma proteins albumin and globulin from mice with gastric cancer and healthy mice using chromatography, then enhancing them with biologically synthesized silver nanoparticles, and finally performing spectral analysis using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, which is expected to provide information-filled, unique signatures of the biochemical components of whole proteins and clear non-overlapping peaks and clusters where the gastric cancer group can be explicitly distinguished from the normal group with 100% diagnostic sensitivity and specificity.
There are many dangerous diseases out in this cold world. There are all types of Aids, Diabetes, Sickle cell, and etc. There are cures or you can just find a way to just live with it but sadly some have no cure. One of the most deadliest type of diseases is Cancer. Cancer might be just a short six letter word but it killed millions of people. The word cancers have about one hundred different types. Cancer is when you have abnormal cells multiplying and growing out of control. It spread and spread changing a cell one by one. Making nonfunctioning cells that we do not need in are body. Cancer can start anywhere in your body. there are all types.(http://kidshealth.org/en/kids/cancer.html) Cancer is killing patients one by one by the way we
One-hundred percent of us humans will all die, seventy percent will have something that attempts to take a precious life, nineteen percent of them will actually die from it, it being cancer. One walks into their specialist's office, already shaken up by the whole event of their findings, to only have a whole dictionary of medical terms thrown at them, knowing that the chance of survival is low. Though all that is happening is an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in the body.
